I don't understand Japanese so I am not sure what is going on here. I think that Dai is doing
a beer commercial but why is he doing the preparation, like pouring and rinsing the glass. Is he on a television show?

I was trying to get a better look at Dai's outfit. Are his pants leather like his vest and also was one of the pant legs red? I saw some red in that area but could not get a full view of Dai in the video link, I noticed that his vest had red buttons on it. Dai is very fashionable isn't he and he looked fabulous as usual!

Dai is promoting the opening of Asashi Extra Cold bar in Tokyo.
This bar only opens in Summer and he appeared at the opening ceremony 2 times already in the past. On this day, he was appointed as a "honorary manager of the bar:. That's the reason why he is trying to make a perfect glass of the beer himself.

The out fit of Day is a uniform that servers and waiters ware at this bar,

He attends Asahi event today in Nagoya, tomorrow in Osaka
and in June he attends talkshow that is sponsored by P&G in Tokyo.

I wonder if he can participate in DOI.

I want him to stay skinny. His face becomes round, especially around his jaw which I don't like much.... Well I'll stop here I may get a lot of boos. lol I love Dai-chan in any figure!!

I just hope he'll show his perfect performances in Shanghai (and DOI if he can participate in) especailly jumps and steps.

But I don't like to see him too skinny.
For me Dai's ideal look was in Japan Nationals in December 2011.

I agree with you, too skinny is not good. I think right before the injury, he was a bit too skinny, wasn't he? I think he was in love (already?). But at FOI in 2008, the first time he performed Eye, he looked great, I think.
For me Dai's ideal look was in NHK Trophy last year, especially in his FS.

But it's amazing that he sometimes looks totally a different person, different personality.
He is such a special individual. I can't wait for what he'll bring to us this year, his hair, costumes, beard (mustache), etc,etc. even his English

I remember an old interview when he said that he drinks 1 glass beer every evening, so he is in love with beer quite a long time. :-D Thanks to God, his waist remains the same.

I'm not really happy with Dai-chan's looks at the moment, I think he is a little too skinny right now. His face does not look that attractive right now. He is still attractive, of course, but his cheek bones are far too dominant. I hope that will change again because to me it doesn't look too healthy ....

I'm looking forward to seeing him skate a new programme, listen to the music he is going to choose etc. :-))

I think it has to do with quads. If I understand correctly, every pound counts. As a skater, if you gain weight, you'll need more strength in order to jump as high as you used to and to rotate as fast in the air as you were able to when you were lighter... On the other hand, doesn't one need to eat properly to stay strong? Those 2 things seem to be connected.
Daisuke's been landing quads in the recent shows instead of relaxing and taking it easy.

Thank you for making this connection - weight:height for jumps. I didn't think about it. Still, I love him even more (if that is possible *giggle) if his face looks different :-))) Dai-chan, as somebody said before, changes his appearance over and over again. Not only because of his clothes but his body appearance. So, this appearance which we see right now might not be the final one :-)))

Will Dai-chan have a break at all? Didn't he say he wanted to take time off and go somewhere? It should be more than a day off to regain mental as well as physical strength!

Guys, it seems like Dai is always too skinny in summer. But on other hand he was already skinny starting with 4CC. So was it necessary for quads?
But may be Dai is right for trying quads in show. (Patrick does 3A too in recent shows.)
It seems to me, like Dai always knows what to do, how to win and handle the pressure.

But anyway, if things didn't change since 2008 and he doesn't drink alcohol high season, then I'm very glad. Because it's not so healthy habit. It may sound silly from me, just worry about his health.

Let's believe in him, shall we? (I know you all do, though!!)
He has come a long way and has a lot of experiences so he definitely knows what he has to do to win the game. And since he has many great rivalry in Japan, he doesn't want to even have holidays. He just wants to practice in relaxed mood. In August last year, he jumped 3A-3T at the beginning of FOI when his name called. Everyone went "Wow" He came to put his focus on big jumps not only to win against Chan but also to stimulate the younger generation. And also Yuzuru's jumps are giving him huge impact, that' s the impression I got from Dai at FOI.

Early this year, he wrote "to stop eating between meals" as one of his this year's goals, which brought me a big smile, he knows it's easy for him to yield to temptation. That's Dai-chan, too.

But I think he does remember his great body and mental condition at NHK Trophy last year when he landed 4F for the first time in his life. He will make it again hopefully many times this year and blow everybody away!!

Hi,
last Sunday in Italy a famous footballer left his team after 19 years. It was an indescribable, intense moment: people cried and gave him an endless standing ovation. I'm not a particular fan of football, because this sport is often corrupt and too interested in money, but I have always admired this atlete, who, as Daisuke, is an example of professionalism, style, loyalty and love for his team. I dream for Dai a moment so memorable when he retires from racing, because Dai too is a special athlete, an example of life.
About the weight: I think Dai shouldn't gain weight because his knee (it's not good for the joints fat and lose weight).
