I'm back from wonderful Berlin :-))

Thanks a lot for sharing all the information, videos etc. - amazing what "piled up" while I was away :-))

Dai-chan seems to be pretty "skinny" as someone also said before and I really hope that he can have some days of rest!

The new EX is great - I mean the sequence we all could watch. I'm happy for him that he tries something else again :-)

I'm looking forward to the new season, new programmes, new music - and Dai-chan :-)))

Thanks for the link hsuhs. What a journey Dai has been on to recapture his quad since his injury and he has been successful. I admire him for his determination and never giving up.

It really is amazing, isn't it? The commentator on the left hand side of the video screen said right at the end that it was hard but that it is great! He seemed so happy for Dai-chan. I totally agree with him and I'm very happy when I hear people talking like this about Dai-chan :-)))

And amazing what Dai-chan achieved! He didn't give up, tried it over and over again, and what must his feelings have been like when he finally did the quad? It must have been enormous!!

For 'Silver lining' article I am still wondering if I should pay the subscription. Haha.

The Bartender Dai is so cute. I thought he said somewhere that he stopped being a perfectionist. Not in this case at least.

I’m still trying to fully comprehend the “The Way’ article. As much as I could see so far, it sounds beautiful. By the way, 道 (pronounced ‘michi’) is also the word chosen to interpret ‘La Strada’ as you probably could guess already.

In Japanese this word/character is used as suffix of all those Eastern Arts such as Tea, Flower arrangement, Calligraphy or sports like Aikodo, Kendo and Judo (never called Jujutsu in Japan) pronounced ‘do’. They all translated as ‘arts’ though it’s more than just that. It includes entire philosophy and historical background to learn, and it is the process itself as well as it is the way to reach the goal. So if this writer suggests that Daisuke’s skating is not just art or sport, nor just two of them simply combined but something more than that, including all the ideals he is pursuing, then I 100% agree!!

One more thing, at the bottom of the last link above by ostile17, Akiko Suzuki’s blog article is about Daisuke’s surprise visit to Akiko’s report & gratitude ceremony meeting for the Worlds medal by the sponsor company in Nagoya. She wasn’t informed and was very surprised and pleased by his showing up at the end. She knows how busy he is. Beautiful friendship!

Twind, I read the article and I'm really impressed by the way the writer explains his thoughts and feelings. I can very well follow him and it all seems to fit perfectly.

Thank you for explaining the idea of "michi". Dai-chan himself always says it is one step further towards Sotchi. He has a goal and does all he can do to improve what needs improving. He is on his way and sticks to it. A great thing to do! :-)))

I'm happy for Akikosan that Dai-chan attended the ceremony - it seems that they support each other very well :-))) I liked Dai-chan's comment when asked about Akikosan (in that interview lately). He said she is the one pulling the strings in the background :-)))

Also AFAIK articles about Dai are seldom there.
But if Mr.Luchianov wrights for them, then probably I should. I enjoyed reading all his articles in Fskating. He cares about athletes and sport in generall.

Gudrun, I also liked when Dai said that Akiko is the true captain. So funny and nice.
