| Thanks for clearing up what you meant let's talk I misunderstood. Great photo of Dai, thanks for that. Miyu thank you for the explanation of the costume. I did see the video you refer to but could not understand because of language. Have a great Dai-Day! | |

| let's talk, thank you for lovely pics Thank you, miyu, for explanation; I had again a look at video saved in my pc (any excuse is worthy ); it's clear that Dai is checking the costume, leaning downwards, touching shoulders and stetching arms....now I understand better: he is really very perfectionist, as Shyla wrote. Today I was reading The Silmarillion, a fantasy novel by J.R.R. Tolkien (author of The Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit). At the very beginning of the book, Tolkien describes how The One (=God) created the world using the music. This phrase struck me: the description of one piece of music the One is creating and performing The one was deep and wide and beautiful, but slow and blended with an immeasurable sorrow, from which its beauty chiefly came I think that this is the perfect description of Sonatina; to me these words are Sonatina. Sorrow & beauty.... So this is why have to watch Dai performing it several times/day Have a nice Dai-time | |

- It seems the video has been already removed from Youtube. Do you remember the news (日テレ news every) on 8/26 which included the footage of fitting? During the fitting, Dai-chan said that the left arm was tight and the costume should be remade. He said the first priority is mobility. It could be the reason why he left the left sleeve loosened.
Ah.... that explains it then. The "loose" sleeve didn't make that much sense otherwise. - Quote :
- SONATINA IS TOO MUCH ADDICTIVE!!
Don't you think so? I watch it repeatedly every 30 minutes.... I'm hopeless It is!!! I especially like to watch the version with the remixed sound, it's so beautiful!!!
Twind, I am all for campaigning for "Unedited Sonatina" as the Olympic exhibition!!! Let's do it! Let's talk, thanks for the pictures! What are these that you posted before? https://2img.net/r/ihimizer/img841/1489/d9iw.png

It's omamori, some kind of Japanese lucky charms or talismans that you can buy at Shinto shrines or Buddhist temples. These ones were created by Dai&Mao fans to send them as victory talismans: http://japanfigureskate.forumotions.net/t867-topic#7725For me the loose sleeve did make sense. I would have never guessed that it was something wrong with the costume, so harmonical that sleeve looked. Sonatina is not like MS, the costume shouldn't be very strict. There must some mess, at least a little. The Perfect mess.

Agreed!
Ditto I love that sleeve. The unfinishing nuance suited the performance, and Dai's arm looked more beautiful with the movemant of the sleeve. Sonatina has many aspects and emotions. During the performance in the last show, I saw a moment Dai smiled so tenderly ..... masy

| Thanks let`s talk for explaining about omamori, I was curious too. These are so beautiful! Dai Stroll Pose is perfect here! I agree about "The Perfect mess" costume. The loose sleeve is a touching nuance. - PATTINA wrote:

Indeed, that is about Sonatina! Thanks Pattina! I'm all for the campaign for "Unedited Sonatina" !!! But we need Genki! Actually this doesn't have to be a program, for me he could make just a video. No special costumes needed, maybe a little bit of fog? - something like Luv Letter practice video . I think many rascals would pay to have such DVD! - Twind wrote:
- And oh, how I want to volunteer right before his performances, to make sure a few strands of his front hair left loose to hang over his forehead!!!
Can I be your assistant, please! I probably wouldn't be much help with my shaking hands, but I'd like to be close to watch!

| Capitan ostile, behave! I'm in shock! First you have provoked us to discuss Dai's hairy armpits and now his calf? You're bad, bad girl! To say the truth, imagining what Twind has written about fixing Dai's hair, was the most erotic thing for me lately ... Just touching a strand of his hair .... But of course Kenji is hilarious, as always. Aren't they the best when together? And thanks ostile for that CM, it's always a joy to watch! | |
