Well, usually World Championship medalists compete in different GP Series. That's why it's strange to see Daisuke and Yuzuru both on NHK[/quote] Probably because they want to give you the chance to compete at home. Both of them. (Sorry weird translation.) However, really strange were invited to a tournament. Let us not forget, however, that Yuzuru was born in Sendai. Maybe it counts

| NHK will be a tough competition for Dai. Both Javier and Hanyu have the ability to out score Dai and he could end up in 3rd place finish and not qualify for the GPF. I don't think that will happen but I have been worried a bit about it
I think Dai has to win gold or silver to qualify for the GPF. Maybe someone with more knowledge of the qualifying criteria for GPF can chime in.

| Hi Guys: Big congrats to Mura. I have been a fan of him for a long time. I like Machida too for his artistry, but Mura has unique sexiness to his skating IMO. I also love his SS, so soft , and powerful. The brogger Tony Willer said that Mura finally got justice on his PCS, but in my mind he is a 80+ skater to me. Jeremy, oh Jeremy, his skating is so mesmerizing, if only he consistently lands those jumps:( Anyway, NHK is getting so close and I will be crazy and restless during my trip to Vancouver. I already told my friends that I will wake up wee hours on Thursday and Friday and watch something on computer, but pleasure ignore. Let's send our positive energy to Dai as much as possible. Ganbare--- Daichan With his shoe problem solved, I believe he will be fantastic this time. | |

| Genki, I am with you. I see very little trust in Daisuke here. His problems at CoC were due to the new boots. We saw the good shape he was in at JO, I don't see why we think he will do that badly at NHK. I know we don't want to jinx him but he needs good vibes coming from his fans! In the unlikely scenario that Rippon gets silver and Dai comes in fouth, it will come down to the total scores: Dai currently has a 26 points lead over Rippon. http://www.isuresults.com/events/gp2012/gpsmen.pdfGanbare, Daichan, we believe in you!!! | |

Ganbare, Daichan, we believe in you!!! I am not sure if your response in your first sentence is meant for me because of my post. If not, I am sorry. I just want to clarify that my post had nothing to do with "trust". Of course I want Dai to win but the reality is that it will be a tough competition for Dai. My post was not meant as a criticism of Dai's ability to win this competition only that Hanyu and Javier are capable to win also. It should be a nail-biter. GO DAI!!

GO DAI!! Shyla, I'm sorry if it came out the wrong way but I didn't mean to single out anyone with my post. I'm just getting a general feeling of negativity that's all. Of course I may be wrong, and needless to say everyone of us is entitled to have different feelings and opinions. Sometimes I forget to keep mine for myself and shut up!

| Thank you ostile. All is good. I thought it might be just a misunderstanding on my part. We Dai fans need to stick together. | |

| Ostile17, Thanks a lot for sharing optimism with me. Shyla, I understand your concern. The competition will be really really tough. HOwever, I based my optimism on other interview of Dai in which he said with confidence" I know what to do to fix this." Sorry I forgot which interview it was, but he was talking about COC performance. Also, Utako sensei said that Dai was landing 4-3 combo very very easily, before the boot problem started. Finally, one Japanese media reported that Dai was quite upbeat despite of the mistakes in Long Program after COC. Dai has gone through a lot of tough situations , certainly the ones much tougher than this in the past.( Remember the Olympic? there were Plushenkco, Lambiel, Juber, Chan, Weir, Lysacheck,Verner, etc) So, as Shyla said, "we stick together as fans" and let's send a great vibe to him I can not wait to see him skating again on Thursday. | |
