Daisuke won the gold at the Japan Nats 3rd times

Daisuke Takahashi won the men's gold at the "Japan National Championships 2007" at Osaka in Japan and he got a big total point 254.58. He succeed with 2 quads in free skating at first time in his life. Takahashi said "I'm very glad and give myself a big hand for 2 quads, however, my free skating was not perfect. I'm not satisfied with my performance. "
His coach Morozov told him "Today, you have to do 2 quads!!" Even though Takahashi jumped 4T and 4T-2T, he had some mistakes because of his stamina. He said "I was very exhausted at first time in this season. Now I found that 2 quads brought me burden legs, so I need more practice because I will be very nervous under a big pressure at Worlds 2008."

全日本選手権男子はＳＰ１位の高橋大輔（２１＝関大）がフリーでも１位となり“今季世界最高”の計２５４・５８点をマーク。全日本選手権３連覇を達成した。今季目標に掲げていた４回転ジャンプ２本を初めて成功させ「自分に拍手を送りたい」と喜んだが「あとはすごく不満が残る」と反省も忘れなかった。

　朝練習でモロゾフ・コーチに「きょうはやるぞ」と声を掛けられ、気合十分だった。中盤からスタミナ切れに陥り、３回転ジャンプ、スピンでミスを連発。「今季初ってくらいバテた」と悔しそうな表情を浮かべた。4回転2回は「足に負担がかかるのも分かったし、世界選手権ではもっと緊張が来るので、もっと練習しないと。」　（スポーツニッポンより抜粋）

Thanks very much for the translation/pics & links Leode!!! I enjoy reading Daisuke's post-competition interviews/comments almost as much as watching his skating.

Daisuke is a big skating hero in my eyes for what he did in his LP (achieving a huge personal breakthrough of doing two quads in a program as well as successfully hitting all jumps, steps, and spins at the same time).

Whether his LP is considered the most or least artistic one out there this year doesn't really even matter to me anymore at this point. I just love watching his skating no matter what program he does.

Yeah, I think so, too. Daisuke jumped 2 quads and 2 triple axcels in one program. It was amazing!! And next season, I guess that he will do quad in short program. He reminds me a SAMURAI when I saw him with mustache standing there.

Yes!! This is the point. I was very impressed that he expressed his "Romeo and Juliet" from his heart at live yesterday.

Me too!
I can watch R&J again and again... and I always love Daisuke skating... but for me some other programs continue to be more involving...
Maybe by reading in interviews how Daisuke is always strict with himself, I become stricter too?!?! Maybe expectation are big, because we are step by step closer to the perfect program!!!
