| Due to a general power black-out I had web connection available only from Javi onward, just in time!! Javi wow !! Dai...why do you make me suffer like this???? But I love you all the same Program technical schedule is ambitious and as soon as Dai gears all jumps up, we'll see great performances. Artistic part seems already OK : he was smiling a lot, just as Lori told him to do but he seemed also somehow tired (or it could be only my immagination). Fosse, thank you for info about last CCoSp. | |

| Thank you ostile. That is a beautifully choreographed program , loved it!
I think that Dai is still recovering from his cold (stamina).

| Thank you ostile Although I do not like these kind of musical performances of Beatles' songs (just a personal opinion), the more I see the program, the more I like it. Daisuke creates poetry, as usual. Just more stamina to support technical part. Terrible shoot at the very end too far from Daisuke to understand how he ends program and his final facial expression. Just hands down like in Pagliacci? | |

| Thanks ostile. It is 5 am here and I am watching dai again at this time. Crazy!!. But anyway I guess it wasvwell skated. Except jumps. However I was distracted by frequent music changes and could not get into the program as much as i used to.what did you guys feel about that?. I loved choreo, especially " come togather" part. Maybe it will grow on me.
I heard that kanako did not skate well and burst into tears. And dai became frantic consoling her. What a great guy as usual. Talk to your soon.

| According to the report from a fan watched it live, in COI Daisuke skated Sonatina, in a new costume, and then for the encore, eye of FOI version. | |

Me too, at first. And I thought, this may be a mistake. If he is not able to grab the audience here, he also may not be in Sochi. With all those Rachmaninoffs, Vivaldis, Phantoms, Romeos around, he may not be the people's champion, as he always is. But then I watched it again. And again... again... And I don't care about Romeos and Vivaldis anymore. This is so beautiful!!! The costume, the choreography, the many nuances, the light skating... This is modern, yet balletic and sublime. When every element clicks in its place (that layback spin with that part of the music!) this will be exquisite! Simply Art On Ice. This is Daisuke and his brave choices. He could do another tango and keep the audience in the palm of his hand. But he doesn't play safe. We can have another, different Daisuke. Whatever the outcome will be (but the judges will must love this) he has already won. He did it his way. - fosse wrote:

Same here. I like the program. And the choreo is great! Thanks, Lori! I have a feeling that Da-chan is flying on the ice, so smooth, so beautiful. But music, especially the tango during his step sequence. Sounds a little bit embarrassed. And I also wonder will he grab the audience with this music in Sochi. Can't wait to see sonatina again

| I have no doubt that Lori constructed this program for the judges more than for the audience. As a fan of Dai-chan I have loved his past programs, but to be honest the judges have not always scored Dai as he should be scored. Audience reaction is important too. Dai loves to skate for the audience.
He is doing something different this season and as an artist on ice that is motivation for him. Dai said he is quite happy about his program and music but also he said he was wondering about the audience reaction.
I also have no doubt that when Dai is in better physical condition and with more mileage on this program, he will have the audience on its feet.

| ilica, i am glad to read your thought. I thought that Daisuke was the audience friendly Toller Cranston-like until 2011 but now he become modern style John Curry(except spins). Every single move is precise and sublime. When he does everything properly, he will grab everything (of course including the audience's heart) It's the huge program..wow | |
