The men will skate at a time when I have to be at work and cannot watch :-((( Nevertheless, I will cheer for Dai-chan (quietly in my office *lol) and cross my fingers for him :-))) I hope there'll be videos afterwards :-) The gala ex should be no problem, in case there is a live stream :-)))

Shizuka interviewed Dai-chan after the press conference of WTT.

He said something like this in it,

While young skaters practice without any doubt if they can improve or not (of course they will improve by practice), he has to practice with anxiety if he can improve actually. He sometimes tries to believe he can but such changes in his mood become cause of impatience. So it's important to remove such impatience from his mind.

I think he is really smart and well composed.

And he said he sometimes scolded "Why can't you do? Even Akiko (who is older than him) is working that hard! ". She motivated him a lot.

Thank you also for this link, it's sooo nice to watch all these little videos with Dai-chan :-)))

I think it must come to mind from time to time that there are so many young skaters out there who already skate and jump very well and Dai-chan might have the thoughts from time to time but I'm sure he'll overcome all these thoughts. He is mentally very stable, at least it seems to me this way so that he can do anything right now. I cross my fingers for him that it stays this way, that he can improve whatever needs improving and that he'll be satisfied with it in the end :-)))) I'm sure we'll see more lovely performances with Dai-chan :-)))

It must be difficult for elite skaters to hold their edge physically and mentally especially when you are older for example like Dai, Brian and Jeremy, because the talented young ones have youth on their side and the older skaters like Dai, Brian and Jeremy have been competing for many years and it takes a toll on the body. Dai is so amazing and determined, to come back to this sport after a possible career ending injury, I suspect not many skaters could have done that. Unfortunately in figure skating sometimes youth is an advantage over experience. I really admire and respect Dai so much.

Daisuke facing his insecurities and overcoming them, is what makes him stronger.

He looks like a bridegroom in that suit, imo

Also, I will be watching Ex on Sunday. I am staying at the official hotel again so I will let you know when i have a lucky meeting with Dai again

we watch streams of competitions and shows held in Japan using a video player called KeyHole TV

(I'd recommend to download it in advance and see if/ how it works on your computer).

Asahi TV is on their programs list.

But the stream quality is usually quite poor. Maybe it's wiser to wait for youtube videos to appear online after all.

Thank you, Fosse It was mistake of my Comodo Firewall because it blocked this program somehow. But now it´s already fine and it works I just dont know how to find Asahi TV because I dont see that name in the list.

Shyla, that's very interesting and emphasises what we saw when PChan showed his ex gala programme!

There he already tried to skate differently - of course, it was far from what Dai-chan shows on the ice but he's trying to go along this line. That also shows again that there is an inspiration going on between Dai-chan and PChan (*lol, putting PChan like this it looks like I was giving him a cute name but that's not my intention *lol). Let's see what will happen to PChan's performance skills :-))) For me it's already clear that he can never beat Dai-chan :-))))
