| That schedule looks weird to me. Original and Compulsory dance? No Free dance? Oh, and if anybody finds a good online-streaming for me in Europe, let me know. Not sure I'll be able to follow it very well anyway, but it might come in handy to at least have an option. Otherwise it'll be youtube. | |

| Thank you, Sanseki.
I love his hair too.
People in US, universal sports has live streaming starting from 11 pm tonight, but it costs $14;95.
I will wait their TV broadcast on Friday from 1pm, but I guess somebody will upload it to you tube right after NHK live broadcast staring from 3pm today (Japan time.)
I CAN NOT WAIT!!!

| Hi everyone If you don't know where, you can watch NHK here: http://tvali.ge/gadget.php?channel=70954It's free and no geographical blocking (at least in Europe you can watch it). I've watched there the competition today, and it was ok. Except for the fact it keeps reloading every 5 minutes (but starts where it stopped before reloading) and is delayed like 10 minutes to the actual time of the competition. But it's better than nothing and you can watch the whole competition | |

| Daisuke is on first place after SP with 78.04 hand touch on Axel & his StS was better in CoI. but after all he was in good mood today & I`m glad that this programm suits to competition (I was afraid of that) Daisuke, please change your hair! I`m glad that he wears this "crazy" shirt! Jeremy Abbot is on second place with 74.62. I don`t like his programm & don`t understand standing ovation from audience to him. | |

| Don't kill me guys but I thought Jeremy out performed Dai. Still, Dai was definitely on fire today! I was feeling kind of sluggish and watching Dai perked me right up. I'm looking forward to seeing him compete his long program. Lil, I actually like his hair. I think it gives him some attitude. I can see why some people don't like it though. That front part that flips around can be distracting for some people. | |

| Jeremy performed well. But, I'm Daisuke-bias and I loved his performance. There was so much energy in his short program. Although his hand touched the ice, his performance was good and I enjoyed it. As I was watching him perform, my heart was pounding from start to finish. | |

| I don`t like Abbot’s program. I saw only too much hands. And I love Daisuke’s SP. But I did't have the energy and joy of dance today. Nevertheless he deserves a leading position. Good luck tomorrow in FS, Daisuke! | |

I agree with you. I think he can perform more energy than he did today. Actually, I thought Abbot got the first place, but some of his spins has no count. After his short program, Daisuke said "I'm not satisfied with my performance today. I was so tired at end of the program, but I'll try to do best for tomorrow." MEN SHORT PROGRAM Result

| That performance was HOT!!!! I LOVE the hair (gives the really sexy latin vibe), LOVE the shirt, but most of all, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Daisuke's attitude. Say what you like about Abbott, but NOBODY has better expression on the ice than Daisuke! This program has me transfixed, every time I watch it, from start to finish. As do most of Dai's programs actually. I have never been able to say that about any other skaters, except T&D. | |

| I am happy Daisuke got the first place, but like swandie and Leode, I thought Jeremy would be in the first place - his jumps were on and clean and the performance had a nice flow. He had a missing element (a change foot sit spin?) prevented him from being on the first. I am not sure if I liked Jeremy's program but it was clean and he had focus and presence on the ice, and he looked confident. Anyway, such is competition it happens.
Dai got an "e" call on his first opening flip jump. I don't think he every got "e" on flip. I would have to look closely. The scores are hard to predict now we have one less element and the rule changes seem to affect a lot especially on spinns.
By the way, is it only me that I felt Daisuke was somehow detached? His eyes lacked the usual sparkle and his usual energy just didn't flow today. His performance was good, but just didn't draw you in as much as he normally does. It's almost that his mind wasn't exactly here. Is he tired or sick? Or something to worry about in his mind? I can't really tell.
He said he ran out of energy at the end of the program - the short program - I wonder if he can keep up with the energy for the long program tomorrow.
Crossing my fingers!!

| Okay, I looked closely on his take-off edge on flip, I don't really understand why it's "e" at all... Maybe he was slightly jerking the edge right before, but still it looks to me a flip. Anyone seen it?? | |

Famous Russian НТВ+ commentator spoke very well about Daisuke. He is very easy, very pleasant on ice, he is not a burden to skate, commentator said, and he lit the audience. "Thanks to these stars in the sky of figure skating – they really can improve your mood at 8 o'clock in the morning". And I'm not sure that Abbott will be able to overtake Takahashi, he added. And he was right. | |

| Hi Guys:
I enjoyed Dai's performance and Hair!! very much today.
But I agree with people saying that he lacked usual spark today. I thought Abbot won.
Did anybody notice that he went into his step sequence after the spin right away? Was it like that before?
I wanted to see something that signals "Hey My step sequence will start, watch out.!!"
Regarding " e" call, I sometimes felt that his flip/lutz edges were king of borderline of lip/fluts. He just has to be careful/

| Dai won in commanding fashion despite a fall and a popped jump. Both he and his hair delivered the tango attitude but this program will have to grow on me. I expected it to be closer between Dai and Jeremy.
The medal ceremony had some funny moments. Florent was on the podium jumping up trying to be taller. Then while they were taking pictures, Jeremy tried to make himself shorter. Brings back memories of 2005 NHK.

| I like Yuzury`s skating. He has speed & his jumps is easy, and no wonder.
Florant Amodio looks vulgar to me, but at least he draws my attention to the end and about Jeremy I can not say this. I don`t want to hurt somebody`s feelings, but he looks so boring. I hardly waited for the end of his programm. He`s not in the same league, as were Lambiel, Johnny, Evan and Brian. Just my opinion.
Dai was not in best mood today. I have to say that he performs better in JO & it`s not about only jumps. He fell on one triple, then fell on 3L-3R. But anyway the class of his skating is visibly much higher. So with 234.79 overall he wins. Jeremy is on second place with 218.19.

| Congratulations, Daisuke!!! I love his tango, it's adorable and Dai was dancing pretty good, with so much passion. In the second part of a program he looked tired, and his jumps wasn't so huge and pure, but as a whole it was great. And I love his hair and costume. But I don't like so much his SP, especially the second part of step sequence, though he really improved the program. I like both Jeremy's programs. He was was gentle, lyrical, his moving was so light. An Amodio was wonderful. He has so much charisma and very nice program!
