| Hi there
I am little confused about the programme next weekend. I would like to watch eurosport (I don't have a tv and watch on the computer) but I cannot really see when the men will skate. eurosport says on Saturday the short programme will be live at 8:30-10.00 hours (berlin time). But when will the men show their long programme? I don't want to miss anything. Does anyone know more?
Cheers Gudrun. | |

Gudrun, I believe ES won't show mens' free program live, because it's 5 a.m. our time. We need to find a different feed, I'm afraid.

| Hello hsuhs
Thank you so much for your information. I really thought it's just me who cannot find it. Alright, let's see if we can find another feed then. I wouldn't mind watching at 5 in the morning :-))
It's really different if you watch it live, isn't it? I have the feeling my thoughts and wishes (as everyone else's) can really make a difference for Daisuke :-))) When the Japanese football team played (world championships) I continued singing for them really intensively a song by Oda Kazumasa (gambatte mo) and I really had the feeling it helped :-))) They won and everyone was happy. I am sure many people had very intensive thoughts for that team on that day and it really helped :-)

| Gudrun - I as well want to watch NHK live (Dai is the only skater for which I'll get up in the wee hours of the morning to watch a live feed!) Any positive energy we can send his way can help support him! | |

| Hi there
It's so great to come home and find so many links to videos/an article :-) Thank you all :-)))
I also think that Daisuke will go for the 4F again, and I cross my fingers for him that it'll just be fine :-)
Lovely to hear that he is in good shape and that he feels positive - what a good start :-)))
Cheers Gudrun. | |

| Miyu, can't you just hide a little tv under your table? Or try to watch it on the internet while pretending you are working hard? :-))) Perhaps there'll be an opportunity!?
TwisterSister, yes I even would get up at 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning to see Daisuke :-))) But as you say, only for him :-)))

| Thank you for your words, hsuhs and Gudrun. But unfortunately I can't...... I will cross my fingers when Dai-chan takes the ice. I translated a part of the interview above. I'm sorry for my rough translation! Q:Which quad jump do you plan to do? A:I don't know which I can do, either.(laugh) I will decide after thinking about it until the mooring practice on the day or 6 minutes warm-up. Q:How are you feeling about quads? A:Toeloop hasn't got to me yet. I'm trying various kind of things, like the way to enter. I'm still seeking. But I'm feeling pretty well about it. As for quad flip, I've brought it to the level, fully rotate and fall. So optimistically I can land it by some chance. I'd like to succeed to land it once during this season . Q:How is the condition of your body and skating boots in this second GPS? A:Physically I feel much better than SC. Regarding my boots, I have some problems with them but I have to be patient because I've changed the manufacturer. However I'm feeling much better physically compared with SC. I've never been this good physically in the time of the season for several years, so I really have a good feeling so far. Go Dai-chan!! And Mao!! | |

| Good morning miyu and all :-)
miyu, thank you so much for translating the article!!
I printed it out yesterday and thought I might try my little Japanese on it but I didn't come very far :-) Now I know what the 6 minutes were for :-)) I was confused and thought that no programme is 6 minutes long :-) No, but the warm-up :-)))
Daisuke sounds really confident about his shape. All he now needs is to know what to do, which quad to show :-))) Great, looking forward to it :-))
miyu, crossing your fingers for Daisuke will surely help! And then you can watch afterwards! :-)))
I also wish Mao a good time. It would be lovely, if she could really become stable in everything again!
Cheers Gudrun. | |

| You're welcome, Gudrun. Sportsnavi's live report of today's official practice. http://sportsnavi.yahoo.co.jp/channel/live/show/winter/485(During FP practice with music,) Takahashi didn't jump quad, then 3A, 3S, 1A, 3F+3T. He skated the rest of the program just lightly. He did two step sequences. Takahashi tried 4F many times. As he said in the press conference, he almost rotated it and fell repeatedly. - Gudrun wrote:

So probably he will go for 4F. BTW, during Japanese TV's broadcast of Skate Canada FP, Yamato Tamura (=Gelsomina in FOI! ) said the reason why Dai-chan switched 4T to 4F in SC could be his right foot condition. Yeah, it would be difficult to jump 4T with his still-unstable right foot. Probably he have to wait to land 4T until his right foot recovers more. But for 4F, its condition affect less compared with 4T.

| Thank you so much for all these video links, guys! You are great! I'm so happy Daisuke can already rotate 4F and I hope he'll land it successfully in his LP. - miyu wrote:

Is it possible? And I just watched pairs SP. I really like Narumi & Mervin's choreography and their style of skating. i wish them good luck tommorow. I'm afraid they can't beat Savchenko/Szolkowy but I hope they will take the silver. It will be great! I also wish Mao good performance!

Wasn't Akiko great? I am soo happy for her! It was such a lovely programme and the way she showed her happiness afterwards was just lovely :-)
Mao still seems to be a little insecure. I hope it'll be better in the long programme. But she looked really cute in her outfit :-)

| TwisterSister, I watch it online on Eurosportplayer (it's not free of charge, though). Perhaps you can watch it on the Russian channel: http://www.parom.tv/sport2. I just saw that their programme says something about figure skating. I hope you can wake up! :-))) I got up now (5.30 am) to watch the pairs skate at 6.00 am. It cannot be compared to getting up at 2.00 am, though :-) miyu thank you for the link! So much looking forward to seeing Daisuke later :-) Gudrun. | |
