Let's hope to have some hints - we all know how Dai is interested in younger generations and how he feels Tokyo 2020 to be a great opportunity for development of sport in Japan. So I think his words were interesting, for sure.

Of course, Dai says he was nervous during the recording of first episode I really appreciate that working for tv he decided not to confine himself only as "figure skating sportcaster" but to widen his experience into different fields. In spite of his insecurity mood, he proved to be great in relating with people he intervies.

In US when I attended Catholic grade school we always had November 1st off as a Holy Day
"All Saints Day". I remember I enjoyed it so much because it was the day after Halloween and I could spend the whole day eating candy.

Yes I think Dai wants to create something artistic with Mao. Remember they talked about it when they had lunch when they both were performing in Europe. Was it Art on Ice or Lambiel's ice show? My memory is not what it used to be. LOL

IMO he won't. Otherwise - IMO - NHK would have spread the news well in advance, having Dai as commentator or guest-commentator is a great event. Maybe after competition he will do some comments on Fujitv, like he did for Skate Canada. Or he will surprise us.... we cannot know, so let's wait and see.

NKH starts tomorrow (well....today as in Japan it's already Friday ) - the best of luck to all competitors!!!

You are probably right about NHK. I was just wishing he was going to be there because i miss him but have not seen any advertising to that effect. Maybe he will be a spectator in the audience this time and relax and watch the competition .

Announcements of future tv appearances for KSB tv program Saturday November 18th at 09.30 and for Fuji's LIFE HERO'S on Sunday November 12th - so probably he will comment on NHK.




OffTopic: Hanyu has withdrawn today from NHK due to an injury he suffered yesterday in practice after a very bad fall. It's so sad when skaters have injury. I remember Dai stating in many after retirement interviews all his concern for all his fellow skaters, wishing them never to suffer as he did.
Wish Yuzu a quick recovery.

I heard about Yuzu withdrawal due to injury. Sad that he will not be able to compete at GPF in Japan. Apparently it is a ligament injury.

Hi Friends. I know I have been remiss and haven't been keeping up to date but I have a favour. Twind and/or Nobu I was wondering if Dai mentioned he'd like to move to Canada when did a segment on Canada's anniversary & discovered our Prime Minister welcomes all people no matter what you colour, religion or lifestyle is. I think I read that Dai said he'd love to move there so I was wondering if it was true or just wishful thinking on my part.

Thank you for the Sunday news, Pattina.  I'm so happy to hear that Dai will be covering the Olympics.  It should be an interesting and nostalgic time for him but not anywhere near the amount of pressure he was under when he was competing so I hope he is able to enjoy himself.
