Any news on the XOI show. I seems that Mao will be doing the choreography for the show. Mai is in the show but it was not clear if Mao was going to be performing. I googled translated.

As for the latest Dai article from Kiss&Cry, Dai answered whether he's good at saving money, he said he's not and the only way to do so is to get married.

XOI cast members. Usually by now we know who will be in the show.

I have been watching the GPF and the Men's FS was so disappointing. Shoma came in 2nd he won the FS but was second overall. Nathan, Shoma and Mikhail the top three all were sloppy in the FS. Poor Shoma I think the pressure got to him. It is a shame because he should have won this competition on the other hand the Ladies SP was great. Satoko is in 3rd place. All of the ladies skated great.I may have to watch the the Ladies FS hopefully it will be more exciting than the men.

Hi Pattina, Shyla, Nobu and anyone else that is reading.  As always thank you for the latest updates. I stopped by to say that I just finished watching the CBC version of the GPF and they mentioned Dai and had his photo on the screen, along with Yuzuru, when they were discussing how well the Japanese men have done in the past.  Kurt added that he heard Dai had visited Jeremy Abbott to have his latest exhibition number choreographed by Jeremy.  It was so nice to hear them discussing Dai even though he hasn't competed in quite some time and it proves we aren't the only ones who haven't forgotten.

I agree with you Shyla.  Shoma should have won the GPF.  I know he messed up some jumps but his skating skills, artistry and execution, for me, are the best out of everyone competing this season.  I might be biased but that's how I feel.  I didn't see the short program but I guess it is, what it is.

H Dancergirl in the Short program Shoma slipped out of his landing of 3A after completing the rotation. He received the mandatory 1 point deduction but he got another 1 point deduction for a timing issue. The timing issue was that his hand was still moving after the time allowed after his music ended. He scored 101.4 in the short program. That one point deduction for the timing which was BS in the SP made the difference between Gold and Silver for Shoma. Grrrr I was so mad at the tech caller. I will have to watch the CBC coverage of the men to see hear about Dai. In an Instagram that Jeremy's posted when Dai was in Detroit it shows Dai having dinner with Jeremy, Kurt, Yuka and another woman not sure who she is. So Kurt was hanging out with Dai and Jeremy.

Yes, it's always a joy when we hear his name. Glad Kurt mentioned Dai's collaboration with Jeremy and indeed they met. Bet they had a lot to talk about.

During NHK, while Bychenko was skating his Free "Pagliacci"  Italian Eurosport commentators recalled that "same music was already used by Takahashi in the past, with quite different results - of course -  in terms of high quality of skating, performance and interpretation"      

Bycheko was doing his best, and I respect him, anyway any moment my mind recalled Dai's moves and steps..... and basically Bychenko's performance disappeared from my eyes.

Shyla, thanks for reporting about Shoma's Short at GPF. Indeed, that time violation deduction was terrible, anyway to be honest Shoma did too many errors in his Free Skating and was not able to take advantage from Nathan's similar poor performance. Silver medal is OK and now he has to focus on Nats and Olympic Team.

Loved the talk with Dai and Araki it was so interesting to hear some personal things about Dai

Pattina I cannot open the file that is the translation to SPORTS X MANGA 2. It wants me to download a program. I am not that computer savvy and always worry about downloading stuff I am not sure about. Also I cannot open the other tumblir link. I get a flashing orange screen. No luck this morning lol. I will ask my young nephew to see if he can help me out.

You have to download media fire video and then open it with one of the two programs suggested in the page.  I have not yet downloaded this specific video, but others in the past and downloaded program VideoLAN (the one with white-orange cone). It's easy to download and use to open mediafire videos. I'm sure that your nephew will help you

Thanks for all the links Pattina.  I loved, loved, loved seeing Dai on the ice again.  As I watched him I realized there is still no one competing today that has his gift of artistry.  Shoma is on his way but I think Dai will always be the master and in a class of his own.

Thank you also for the happy news about Elladj.  His exhibition numbers always make me smile and I'm glad he has joy and love in his life.
