Say " Hi " to Dai when you meet him!!! I will be waiting your guys report patiently:
Now I am thinking about vacationing in NY seriously maybe at the time of Ballroom comp!

| still no news Oba-chan started receiving the "Anthology" Blue Ray box and share their joy on twitter - This is just one of the many comments - thanks to uploader - OMG Dai is breathtaking https://twitter.com/jdainyan/status/594378435637555200I don't know who this guy is - seems he makes his own video and comments on movie trailers, games and more. He commented about "When Marnie was There" trailer for US release in April. Our ostile send him the link to Dai's video "Fine on The Outside" and he commented it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ci9Gk8JXezAAs you can easily understand, he does not know who Daisuke is and knows little about figure skating. Nonetheless he is struck and involved by Dai's performance. So glad that through this YT channel now people who do not know about figure skating can appreciate Dai's amazing skating and artistry. Thank ostile for spreading Dai everywhere!!! | |

| ilica, thank you for links to Dai's smiles never get tired of it!! So you are going to watch Marnie in theaters quite soon!! Maybe you'll meet him in some theater!! Good luck!! A look back to "Kobe" - ostile wrote her report in Italian here. The main part is the interview reported by Bloomsport and already translated in English by Twind (for ever blessed for this), with a description of what happened during the show and fund rising. http://www.artonice.it/?q=it%2Fnode%2F18670Wonderful pictures by Mayumi san (thank you so much) in this photogallery. Enjoy!!! http://www.artonice.it/?q=it/image/tid/408Watch out! So much beauty can kill you!!! Credit to @Mayumi Nagura | |

| Sorry Shyla, I did not express myself properly. The article is in Italian - there is no English translation of wholetext. But the main part of it is the after-show interview reported also by Boomsport, which Twind already translated some pages ago. So this part we already know about. I guess ostile will supply English translation as soon as possible. In the meantime.... nothing new but nice all the same (the author writes that source for Dai's quote is ostile's article.... but IMO they are Twind's translation) http://www.ifigureskating.com/daisuke-takahashi-towards-the-unknown-and-beyond/ | |

Yes, this person is translating my Italian translation of the interview Daisuke gave after the Kobe exhibition to the press there, and took some info from the article, that's why she is "quoting" it, together with the official site from which she took part of Dai's message to the fans.
Personally, I find it annoying when people take things out of context to write their own stuff. If Daisuke said something in an interview at a specific occasion, or in a message to his fans on his official website, or last year in his retirement announcement, it should be mentioned in the article when quoted.
I will translate the article in English as soon as I can, but there is really nothing in it that you guys here don't already know, as it was written for a more generic figure skating audience.

| Hi all! I’m wating for a surprising news from ilica and hazelq… But it hasn’t happened yet??? https://twitter.com/cheesmansean/status/596584150959673344Mr. Cheesman says he spoke to Dai-chan yesterday. Did he see him in NY? I bought (of course ) both of the super gorgeous stamp set and Anthology (Blu-ray set). I think you’ve already saw this somewhere, but this is Dai-chan’s message included in the stamp set. “My competitive career was the fulfilling days because of your supports. I’m grateful for it all!! I appreciate your continuous support. ” So his competitive career has ended.. Of course we all know it but it still makes me sad. The newest interview in Anthology which was filmed in the mid January, is about thirty minutes, including eye @ XOI and Ocean Wave @ PIW 2008. In the interview he looked positive to figure skating and ice shows. This is one of his comments. “Still there are people who root for me even after I retired. I want to work with facing them sincerely in future. I don’t mean I’m not serious now. But if I will skate in ice shows I want to do it with the same feeling which I had when I competed.” Great! I will be able to see his genuine performance someday! But as you know he left Japan without skating shoes... He looked a bit tired and less spirited when I saw him in Kobe… (Maybe just Okinawa was too much fun.) OK, OK, I'm just a worrying obasan!! Just hope everything is going well for him in the new world!! | |

| miyu, nice to read you again!!! Many many thanks for info on sean, for pic & translation of Dai's message to fans and for comment from Anthology. - Dai-chan wrote:

Seems he is somehow surprised So typical Dai-chan!! While wandering through pics I have in my pc I noticed those two - as they are from "200days" book just for copyright's sake I prefer not to post directly - here are links where I found them. Dai in Vancouver - the little dog could be Mo-ko, I think. If so, the pic Dai posted on instagram was not Mo-chan's first public appearance.

I walk around Manhattan with my eyes so wide open, they hurt! But no luck for me so far... There is one dance school that got my attention - don't really know why this one - but I've been there already twice, walking by, very, very slowly . Saw some handsome men getting inside, but no sight of the most handsome 'sigh. - miyu wrote:

So his competitive career has ended.. Of course we all know it but it still makes me sad. We keep going on with our lives, but sometimes it just hits you again... My last 'attack' was when I read the new article about Patrick Chan: http://www.ifsmagazine.com/articles/32779-patrick-chan-daredevil-returning-to-competitive-arenaYes, Patrick and his mouth are back, it's actually kind of amusing when you're not emotionally involved anymore People's reaction to Dai's skating must have been in his head for all those years, so now he wants to be the one that is pushing artistic boundaries. Good luck with that Patrick. Anyway, what got me emotional, is the part: For me, I want to go out and skate a program, get off the ice and say now I can have fun. That I am comfortable with what I did and do something that people will look back on in years to come; that coaches can play the programs back for other skaters and say, ‘This is what it takes to be a champion and this is what skating is all about.’How I wanted Dai-chan to do just this... I'm so nonsensical today so to end my post with something productive, here are some latest fan-montages: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVRodZqAH5shttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJTU1bhByGI

| Lol Ilica, just go into each dance school and just ask if a figure skater from Japan is there. That's the best way | |

| Thank you all for the latest updates. Special thanks to Pattina for consistently providing links and photos.
Miyu, it’s nice to know that Dai spoke to Sean Cheesman. It must have been nice for Dai to hear a familiar voice as he transitions into his new life in the US.
Twind, I was also pleased to hear that he’s shooting for Listerine. It gave me a bit of comfort that he was able to spend time with a Japanese film crew to remind him of home.
Ilica and Hazel, I have my fingers crossed that each of you will have a close encounter on the streets of NYC. Keep checking out that studio because I’m sure he will soon need a class once he has adjusted to the city and his studies.
Ilica, thanks (I think) for the link to the article about Patrick. You are right that one can find it amusing, when you’re detached, but as a fellow Canadian well… I will just leave it at that and I’m sure you can imagine where my thoughts are headed with this. With Dai no longer competing he may think it’s safe to “work on his artistry” but I think that he is underestimating the lovely Denis Ten.
Ostile that’s fantastic that they retweeted. You should be proud and rightly so!
