| I Just finished watching! I was so impressed with the Finale, Kenji did a fabulous job! Loved seeing "Eye" again and Kenji's dance as Santa was great but yeah where is part 1 and 2??? maybe it will show up soon.
Dai-chan so cute with his ending speech. He had the audience laughing and didn't they just adore him in return!
Thanks for sharing Pattina and thank you to the up loader!
I remember when Dai won the Silver I was so thrilled for him, thanks for the memory and the video.

| Thanks for the updates Pattina and for reminding us that it's Dai's anniversary of winning the Silver medal at the 2007 Worlds. Here is a U.S. version of his FS in case anyone is interested in hearing the commentary. I never tire of listening to the enthusiastic commentary whether it's British, Canadian or American. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdcQtdTuaRs | |

| Thanks @Dancergirl I think Dick, Kurt and Terry thought Dai had done enough to win the Gold.
I was watching with some friends and we were jumping up and down after Dai's performance we all thought that Dai had won the Gold. It did not matter to us once his score was announced and we realized it was Silver for us he was the winner and he did win the FS. That said I was also a fan of Brian Joubert and was pleased for him too. Wow eight years ago and it seems like yesterday to me.

| Thanks for sharing your memories Shyla. I also thought the commentators thought he won the Gold. It's so sweet that you were jumping up and down and still feel he won the Gold that night. At least you were able to be happy for Brian Joubert. I will always feel, in my heart, that Dai won the Gold in Sochi so I can relate to how you felt that night 8 long years ago. | |

Gorgeous photo. You can see clearly in Dai's eyes and smile the love he has for Utako.
Thanks Pattina for the updates.

| Thank you, Dancergirl, for the link of the Tokyo World's Phantom. This is the very performance and the commentators I "met" Daisuke with for the first time. And this is the best Phantom to me, though Dai tells us the best is the one in Nagoya Nationals. Technically, yes that one was a more point-getter and "zoned" performance but I still love this one the best. His fluid and and sharp movements, (yes! Wonderful body movement as Dick says. ) the crazy air in the arena and his tension, the way he pushed to the absolute edge, the thundering roar during the straight-line step... (Dai later said he couldn't hear the music) No wonder he burst into tears at the end. It always gives me a special sensation whenever I see this phantom. Later when Dick was asked his overview of the men's event, he told that Dai was the one who impressed him most. The performance and the way he competed. A legend met another legend. PATTINA, thank you for the BD wish photo!! One could see gentle but strong love and great respect between each other, even from a moment like this from a picture. So much they went through together... | |

| Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the 2007 Worlds and for the latest translation Twind. I wasn’t aware about Dick’s comments so it was nice to hear that Dai impressed him the most. What a great compliment from a legend. Thank you Pattina for the links and reminder that it’s Dai’s anniversary of winning the Gold in 2010. For those of us who are English speaking only and don’t have the bilingual gift here is a link to the British commentary of his FS. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BDyBtGW0EYHere’s a link to the CBC commentary of his SP. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aatajqRfO_MAnd here’s his practice of Luv Letter for the Gala. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34UkEBuoLGwFinal product of Luv Letter. I couldn't find an English version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jq7_9e3yVu0This is a bit off topic but here’s a link to the 2011 4CC Medal Ceremony where you will hear Dai speaking English and doing it quite well. I suppose it's not really off topic considering he is going to the U.S. to study English. I think he is far too modest about his current English skills. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMKb1Qw86UY | |

| Just wanted to let everyone know that I recorded the 2015 Worlds and at the beginning of the Men's SP they flashed Plush, Patrick and DAI'S photos on the screen. It was such a nice surprise to see Dai's face at the opening of the Worlds when he's not even competing! I love CBC for that.
Sadly, TakaX2 didn't make the top 10 but they both made a valiant effort. Yuzu, Javier and Denis were the top 3 in the SP. Proud of Denis because they put the wrong music on so he had to wait while the sound people got it together. I'm sure it must have rattled him but he carried on like a trooper.

| @Dancergirl I watched the Men's SP but missed the photo flashing. Plushenko along with Davis and Whte took part in the opening ceremony.
I was crushed by Taka and Mura's SP placements. 19th and 23rd. Hopefully they will move up in the FS otherwise Japan will lose their 3 spots for Worlds 2016. In an interview Mura said that he had sprained both ankles in practice after 4CC's and has not recovered from the injuries. Taka had no excuse he said he just did not know what happened as he was landing his jumps in practice and will do his best to retain 3 spots for Japan. Best of luck to both of them tomorrow. I am not worried about Yuzu. He did a great job given his past injuries and hospitalization for stomach surgery.

| Hi Shyla. Sorry you missed seeing Dai's photo but I think it was only on the CBC broadcast. I was also disappointed by the TakaX2 placement. The broadcast I was watching didn't show all of the men so I had to watch their performances online. I was so surprised to hear that Mura is injured because he looks so strong on the ice. I agree that Yuzu did a fantastic job considering all of his hardships this past season. He has nerves of steel for someone so young. I'm hoping that TakaX2 have the best skates of their lives today in the FS. I must say I'm happy that Sergei Voronov is sitting in 4th place. It's nice to see someone that is always being referred to as "older" can still bring it. | |

| @Dancergirl Taka K. did a fine job in his FS but could only manage 12th place. Japan needed Yuzu to win in order to retain three spots as you probably know Javier won the Gold and Yuzu came in second. Oh well 2 it is. Poor Sergei had a terrible FS.
Javier was amazing and deserved to win the title, Congrats to him first man from Spain to win a Gold Medal at Worlds. Denis won the Bronze his FS was also amazing. Yuzu made some mistakes but did his best to win the Silver.
US men retained 3 spots, Jason Brown came in 4th and Adam Rippon 8th. Good for the US as Worlds will be in Boston next year.

| You should have marked your post "spoiler alert" Shyla because I wasn't aware of the FS results as it hasn't been broadcast here yet. Don't worry because now that Dai isn't competing I don't have such a vested interest.
Congrats to Javier, Yuzu and Denis. I thought Javier was under-marked in the SP so I'm glad he came through in the FS and won. It's always nice to see someone win the "first" for their country. I wondered how Yuzu would do in the FS because even though he did well in his SP I thought he was a bit "off" and not fully recovered. I'm glad that Denis did well in the FS and still wonder if the music screw-up in the SP threw him off which is such a shame if it did (and understandable).
I'm disappointed to hear that Sergei didn't have a great FS. I wish I could hear Kurt's comments about Taka but I'm guessing the CBC broadcast won't show his skate. I'm surprised that Jason came in 4th but good for him. I miss Jeremy Abbott!

| No worries Shyla. The Men's FS still hasn't been broadcast here so I watched TAKAX2, Denis and Sergei online this morning. I thought all 4 did a great job. I guess it wasn't Sergei's day but I thought the other 3 did the best they could. Taka K's FS is my favourite this season and I enjoyed watching him. It's disappointing that Japan lost a spot but TAKAX2 should be proud of their performances. | |
