I'm really glad of Misha's tribute to Dai during such an important show as THE ICE that tours in four big cities in Japan: Sapporo, Osaka, Aichi and Sendai.

Dai has retired from competition, but his heritage to younger skaters is still huge and important.
    Wish Misha a great upcoming season.

Congrats to Taka for his engagement!!! Uncle Dai will have other TJ kids to cuddle

Ilica, I am so glad you noticed the "resemblance".

Pattina was making fun of me because I said Mo-chan reminds of Dai-chan...

  Sorry, I cannot find "resemblance" of Dai in Mo-ko. Anyway, I can understand that you/we all miss Daisuke soooooo much that we look for him everywhere

He seems a bit better that in pic at dance school - less thin in his face. And the hat... is he trying to keep in order his loooooong and "yabai"  hair????

As for Mo-ko "controversy" - I'm with ostile on that one, I can see Dai-chan in Mo-chan  

But, yes, her eyes look sad... can you imagine how much she must be missing him...

Misha is brave in challenging himself with such iconic programs. And he did a good job, after all.

But after watching it I miss Dai more and more and the way he simply used to fly and dance with his blades on ice, defying law of gravity and making intricated steps sequences look easy as a bare-foot walk on the grass.

I need a pic to heal my broken heart

Thank you all for the latest updates and special thanks to Pattina for sharing Misha's tribute.  I have mad respect and admiration for Misha's amazing performance and I hope Dai enjoys it as much as I did.  I wish him all the best in the upcoming season.

How long can Daisuke keep avoiding American barbers? His waist is now 57cm I bet   . He is horribly cute with this warm, peaceful, baby-like smile.

Just my feeling.... Dai has a resolute look. I bet he can rock them all, whatever this "work" is. And I know that some skaters liked his post, one after another (Lambiel, Rippon, Maia and Alex Shibutani, Chan, Abbott, Misha) like they were "waiting" for him somehow. OK it's just my feeling... of course. But I'm really happy for this

Thanks everyone for the updates. Sorry I have been busy (family health issues) and have not posted lately but I do look
forward to any news about Dai-chan. He looks adorable in the photos. Love the side profile look in his his recent IG.

I hope everyone is enjoying the summer weather. It has been in the 90's and humid all week
in my area but in the evening we do get a nice sea breeze.

Thanks for the latest photos Let’s Talk and Pattina.  My perception is that Dai is ready for a dance class so I hope I’m right and he’s enjoying every moment.  So glad that everyone in the skating world seemed as anxious as we were for news of Dai.  

Genki, good to see you again and thank you for the news about Misha.  Can’t wait for Dai to watch his tribute that he worked so hard on.  Misha is such a sweetie.

Above all I love when Kenji says Dai performs each instrument, instead of simply skating to the music. So true!! And this is something you cannot learn how to do. Dai has it deep inside his heart and soul. That's why he is magic on ice.

We know that Daisuke is expected to be in Japan by August end/September for Gliko's event and the Surgery Convention (11 Sept).  So we were prepared to wait patiently....

Good news today: our waiting time will be shorter than expected!!

Dai will present new dvd "The Real Athlete" on 21st August in Tokyo
