| Oh, thanks for the news, miyu. I hope it's okay that the clamp stays in his knee for yet another year ^^; | |

| Thank you for the information, miyu!! It is a good decision for Daisuke to have a surgery next year. Here is news for the Royal tea party and new rules. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YU8Gw-rq4iw At the Royal party, Empress Michiko of Japan touched Daisuke's bronze medal and said to him "I'm very impressed that you overcame your injury and you did a great achievements." And after the party, he said "I'm very happy to hear that." Empress Michiko of Japan (wikipedia)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empress_Michiko According to new rules, Daisuke said "I think it's really good thing to change some rules for us." Yes!! He've got a nice suntan!! Did he go to southern island like Hawaii?? _________________ GO DAISUKE!!

| Thank you for telling, miyu! Daisuke's been meeting the royal family a lot recently! Reg not having the surgery, I wonder how he arrived at that decision. Is it because it's the best thing for him to do? Or the surgery date simply doesn't matter, and the surgery can be postponed for another year. Or is it because Daisuke doesn't want to waste the valuable time and is willing to take risks, even at the cost of his health? | |

| hsuhs, I understand what you're thinking of his surgery. I heard that it is O.K. that the clamp stays in his knee for two years. According to some new rules, Daisuke does not have much time for his adjustment. I think he made a decision with his doctor. I believe in his decision and now I realized how he wants to win at the Worlds in Tokyo for a two-time Worlds champion. _________________ GO DAISUKE!!

It is a good decision for Daisuke to have a surgery next year. Here is news for the Royal tea party and new rules.. What are the new rules? Regarding Dai-chan's decision on postponing his surgery (although I'm not an orthopedic surgeron, I'm an ophthalmologist/eye doctor), it depends on the patient's condition. Maybe his surgeon doesn't think its an immediate surgery if it can be postponed. Yes, he got a nice tan.

| oh. I think it means, he want to retire after world in Tokyo. we`ll see. I just think that may be it was better, that he get Bronze in Olympics, & if he feels himself strong enough to compete until Sochi, he has a chance to become worldwide popular legendary superstar like Yagudin. | |

| That's great news! A surgery would steal a lot of his training time. I just hope this is not risky for his health. Well, he surely has great doctors to advise him. | |

| Thank you so much, Miyu for the links to the articles, pictures and video. He looks good! I am glad he is not removing the clamp now. It will give him time to really focus on getting ready for next season and just build on what he has accomplished this season. And I am glad he is optimistic about the rules. We'll see June 20th how many of the new rules that will pass. | |

| A new article. http://hochi.yomiuri.co.jp/sports/winter/news/20100510-OHT1T00281.htm"Considering he can't skate for about a month, he said "I decided so, because there isn't much time and I heard it was OK (to postpone the surgery) after the world championships." And he revealed he would ask Pasquale Camerlengo for his new FP as the same as last season." Wow! Pasquale!! Then, perhaps the EX will be choreographed by Kenji, I guess. So no Japense music program in competition? I thought if he did a Japanese program, he would ask Kenji. Anyway, can't wait to see his new programs from Shae-Lynn, Pasquale and Kenji. They are my most favorite choreographers! Exciting! - Dencar wrote:

We are talking about it here. https://daisuke-takahashi.forumotion.com/discussion-on-daisuke-in-english-f3/let-s-talk-abot-the-new-rules-t756.htm#7891 - alyssa wrote:

Right, he must have talked about it with his doctor, a very good knee doctor, and his team. - Lil wrote:

we`ll see. I know how you feel. Dai-chan has been asked repeatedly by the media about Sochi and kept saying he'd like to think of the future year by year. I think, of course he is thinking of the retirement after Tokyo Words but also he doesn't want to set a long term goal right now after these 4 years when he had fought for Vancouver, especially the last 2 years were that hard. This is totally my personal impression though, it seems for me now he prefers working with a short term goal to a long term one and is waiting for the day when he can see his future plan. Anyway, coming Tokyo Worlds is definitely his goal right now and it seems he really really want to win there. I hope he can achieve his dream!!

| Thank you for the news/links/pictures/videos!! Was Utako-sensei the only coach at the Royal Tea Party? It's nice to see her there! And YAY about Dai wanting to work with Pasquale again! I have no doubt that he's taking the right decision regarding his knee. After what happened, I don't think he would take any risks. And if his doctor says it's fine to postpone the surgery, I think we can all safely trust him - after all, he managed to rebuild a knee that survived hundreds (or thousands) of jumps through the season. (Thank you!) - miyu wrote:

I think a lot of skaters are in this situation, and taking it year by year is the best thing to do at the moment. 4 years is a long time. Who's to know what will happen? Who will rise and shine? Who will (unfortunately) get injured? Who will get worn out?... Does any of us know what we'll be doing in 4 years?!? At the beginning of the season, when I talked to him at the Finlandia Trophy, Dai said he might stop after the Olympics. The way he looked, he seemed pretty convinced that it was indeed his last season. And now he seems more motivated than ever before! Also, if he needs to take a month off after the surgery, now seems a little late. He should have it right after Worlds to have time to prepare for the next season, and this year got sooooo crazy because of the Olympics and his first World title. Maybe next year will be different and he'll have time, even if he continues competing. Who knows?...

| He got tanned, didn't he? Yes he did. I hope he finally got some vacation time under the sun. He really needs a break!! Take a good care of skaters, please, JSF!! My feeling about Sochi is that Dai will take a break next year after surgery, (of course after defending his gold at world's ) And then he will come back really really strong in 2013 season. By that time, he will master 4F, and 4T completely and become unstoppable with his exquisite artistry. He will win Gold medal at Sochi, making many old gold medalists cry over his utterly beautiful program. His name will be permanently engraved into many people's mind as the legend of figure skater such as Plushy and Yagudin My dream, but definitely attainable. | |

My dream, but definitely attainable. He-he. Right dream. Let`s hope, it will become true. Yes again yo Pasquale~ he seems to be so kind person. La Strada was fantastic. Thanks for God, 2010 wasn`t his last season! I wish he’d win second worlds` title like Stephan. Stephan is great, he` s an Artist. For me Dai & Stephan seems to have something similar in personality – artistry, musicality, spirituality.

Yes, we should pray, just not to hope. Anyway, I agree that La Strada was really brilliant, but what about Kenji!! I miss him. He is so versatile. He choreographed for many Japanese skaters, but none seemed to be the same. I know that everybody loved "eye", but I am also so intrigued by his "Bachelorett", "and Yugao" by Shizuka. Just genius

| Yep. "Eye" is brilliant. Simply La Strada has that humour, self-ironic character, like "enjoy your life & believe in tomorrow" (so italic!). That makes this programm very spesial. "Bachelorette" Yes, interesting vanguard | |
