Apologize for having been quite lazy of late. I am on holidays from tomorrow so in these last 3 days I had to work hard at office so to leave everything in order and when I returned home in the evening I was sooooooo tired.

In addition, there aren't news about Dai-chan, what he is doing now.

As soon as I read the message and the word "injury" I started shaking. Strongly wishing it's something he can heal from without permanent issues.

Dai attended the first show at PIW this morning to greet the audience, as he promised: he entered the ice in the first part of the show, sitting in a sledge  and again expressed all his regret to miss PIW because of the injury to his left thigh. He also said he is taking care of the injury so that he can try to do his best at first competition in October (on-line translation)

Dai has been interviewed in Yokohama. According to on-line translator (so we must be careful) he said:

He injured during the Summer Camp in Hokkaido, popping a 3Salchow. As initial diagnosis excluded internal hemorrage, he continued training, but the day after he injured again. He was diagnosed a muscular fatigue.

he has dropped the plan for quads, contrary to what he previously thought. Decision is based on different things: age, lateness in preparation and practice and the recent injury.

However he feels that expression is ok. "I'm starting without knowing where I can arrive. There is no anxiety and impatience like before. I think I'm going to have fun"

About future plans.

"Now I feel the pleasure to be able to do things I can not do. I do not know what to do next year. Maybe I will try a little more."

New event scheduled on Dai's official website: NHK Osaka Broadcasting Station will commemorate the 40th anniversary of NHK Trophy International Figure Skating Competition as well as 100th anniversary of Osaka City Central Public Hall Opening Ceremony. Reading Utako's words how Dai looks fulfilled and satisfied of what he is doing            It feels my hear with incredible joy. That's right the way I hope Dai faces the new challenge. Dai has tried new things (LOFT and HYOEN) with amazing results and he was very appreciated as tv caster, but it seems that he was missing something, somehow. IMO, in spite of age he is feeling his body is better than 4/5 years ago and this gives him confidence to try and perform like he wishes to do to satisfy his heart.
