| Very nice moment from documentary DT IN LA (longer version) - thanks so much to kind uploader!!! Dancer James (the one who lifts Dai up during last curtain call ) is watching "Primavera Portena" at Art On Ice 2015, with Cheryl and Randi Strong. They are all amazed and awe-struck by Dai's "dance moves" on skates and have great words of praise. As usual, Dai is embarassed and moves to and fro trying to hide his embarassement (but IMO also his pleasure). So cute in the end, when Cheryl and Randi try his spins!! https://twitter.com/oritatubeshi/status/753969437473058816?lang=itAnother great moment: The God of Dance https://www.facebook.com/DaisukeTakahashiRoadtoSochi/posts/839297692874464From Dai's thread on FSU: a member reports what a blogger wrote after watching the documentary. It's what Twind wrote in her report: a pure soul who interacts with humans but at the same time he is untouched and distant. She [the blogger] said in the documentary, Cheryl herself said that Daisuke’s character was like an angel that weaves the story together. From Nobu’s POV she said that “he was like an angel like in the movie ‘Wings of Desire’ or the American remake ‘City of Angels’. Daisuke was like an angel that supports, saves and snuggles up to human beings. He always kept certain distance from dancers but when they needed somebody he was there. He shared the joy of first love with Kristi in Act 1, save Meryl from desperate needing & tangled relationships in act 2, snuggled up to Charlie when he was suffering from lost love in Act 3, and then was there, yes, just being there for Cheryl in Act 4.” Source: http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/index.php?threads/the-one-and-only-daisuke-takahashi-because-we-miss-him-so-much-thread.93260/page-6More info on "Stars Greeting in Hawaii": it's a cruise to Hawaii with Dai, Shizuka and Kenji with skating lessons and special activities. OMG.... a cruise to Hawaii with Dai https://www.facebook.com/DaisukeTakahashiRoadtoSochi/photos/a.328169550653950.1073741828.317966388340933/839282816209285/?type=3&theater | |

| Thank you for all the updates Pattina! I love your attention to detail even noticing he's wearing a microphone in one of the shots. It would have flown right over my head if you hadn't mentioned it. Dai must be exhausted but he looks great for someone with such a busy life. I'm glad he is out and about enjoying his well deserved day off. | |

| As always, thank you so much for your hard work Pattina! I forgot to mention how much I would love to go on that cruise as Hawaii is one of my favourite places so I envy the Japanese fans who have the opportunity to enter the contest.
I am also hoping that someone will translate Dai's comments about Sochi. I know it's bittersweet for several long time fans (and my heart aches for you) but for me it's a happy memory. Had Dai not skated so beautifully I would never have noticed him and become a fan. Out of everyone that competed at Sochi only Dai stood out to me. His FS, at Sochi, will always be my favourite program. I know that he will continue to skate to incredible new programs but I don't think anything he does will ever top his Sochi performance, for me, because it was so special and it brought tears to my eyes simply because of his beautiful interpretation. So for all of the fans who find it bittersweet please take solace in knowing that he gained new fans all over the world that night. Not an easy feat to have first time viewers so enthralled that they become major fans, overnight, and after just one skate. Something only Dai can do with his unmatched artistry.

| Dancergirl, I'm moved any time you write about how you started loving Dai because of his FS in Sochi. He was HUGE skating with his heart on his sleeves, pouring artistry around him even if any jump was painful. Skating with that beautiful look in his eyes and face. At Ice Legends, I saw the glittering of his blouse in the dark few seconds before Dai entered on the ice for his part in Le Poeme. My heart started pounding fast: his Sochi costume I was happy, but in a way I am not able to express properly in words, that he decided to skate with it once again. | Hi Pattina. It was so sweet of you to acknowledge my words about Sochi. I hope I am not being repetitive (so apologies to everyone if I am) but I can’t contain my excitement when Dai’s FS is mentioned because it brings back the memories of bewilderment, awe and joy that I experienced. I had no idea, at the time, that he was injured so you can imagine how shocked I was that he was able to perform the way he did and touch so many hearts around the globe. I still don’t know how he did it… so the only explanation is “he’s Dai”.
Thank you also for the snow photo. What a great shot of Dai in the midst of falling snow and how appropriate that he would be in a skating venue where he continues to create the magic.

| Minna san konnichiwa!! No really Dai-news in these last days. Still lots of info and pics and gif on socials about LOTF, which is aired today on pay-channel TBS 1. As always, let's hope in some kind soul to upload it somewhere, sometime. Dai will appear also at 23:45 Japan time in FujiTV's LIFE'S HERO. Don't know if he will be there live or just in a recorded tv-service on Uchimura senshu. If you want trying to have a look.... http://mov3.co/fujitv/TBS posted pics from LOTF to promote today's broadcasting https://www.facebook.com/cstbs/photos/?tab=album&album_id=2076288439263442https://www.facebook.com/cstbs/photos/?tab=album&album_id=2077456059146680Hot hot hot hot..... Slightly offtopic. In these days info are coming about skaters' new programs. Up to now I've already counted 3 Pagliacci, 3 La Strada (one is Boyang Jin's new FS), one Blues for Klook (someone skated it also last year) and one "Mambo medley". Here if you want to check yourself http://www.goldenskate.com/forum/showthread.php?59271-2016-2017-Programs-by-DisciplineOK, make comparisons is useless and nonsense, any skater has his own personality, skating skills etc.... and of course new programs will be quite different from Dai's old ones. I feel curious, but I know that in the end I will look for the "original" Dai programs to relieve my eyes and heart, because I'm quite sure that none will skate with heart on sleeve like Dai did, pouring out emotions. Have a Dai-gorgeous SunDai | |

| Dai's EX "West Side Story" at 2002 Junior World Championship. Thanks to kind uploader and thanks to Daisuke Takahashi Road to Sochi who found it. Dai had just won First Junior Men Championship for Japan!! Not a flawless ex, but the rough diamond Utako started working with was already shining https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20IGwxaEo0I&feature=youtu.be | |

| Oh! How cute Dai!!!! Thank you PATTINA ↑ In less than two hours it will be on air... This is so rough report but I will leave it here, before that special moment start. Sorry for my English as always. [LOTF continued from the impression of June 30] July 1st. The day after the premiere. I was surprised that he already seems to feel so much more comfortable in each scene. With his step so sure and eyes sinister, I could see this animal is now fully awake. Yes, you needed to be watched by tens of thousands of eyes to shine out. I sat on the first row of the block on the back seat (S seat) and during the “Dai on the cube” I tried my binocular. I enjoyed all the eye-candy moments (OMG) but I also felt that I made a mistake. This is still close enough to see more without, while I still have to see all the stage grasping what this show is about and all the details to understand. And more than that, Daisuke alone can dance involving the air around by the huge area and return even larger something, while his own body is not large. The same thing we saw on the ice happens here and seeing him through the little lenses won’t just do for I miss too much. (That’s just my opinion) Next day for the early show, I saw it from the 3rd floor. The day before (on Friday evening) there were empty seats on the 3rd floor so I thought I could sit a little easily. Nope. It was Saturday matinee and it was completely full. (KUDO to Dai and all the cast!!) As I promised to myself I put my binocular away and enjoy the bird-eye view of the show. It was more fun than I thought. The dancers are away and less power and glitters reached to this far but could see the design of the show better. I could pay attention to the lighting and 3D picture projected on the back was better seen from this distance. Daisuke san’s position in the group and the choreographer’s idea behind could see well too. Like the gallery on the ice skating event, from this far away from the stage you can see who can “shoot the aura” farther off, and for this particular show, I would say Daisuke and Meryl were best. (Again just my opinion, but this is known forte of Daisuke, and skaters always perform for all four sides and up-high area of the bowl compared to the dancers who always have the front side of the stage straight ahead to appeal so it may not be compared easily.) The sad part of this 3rd floor crowd was that they didn’t stand up during the finale! After that day I spent some time with my family, including Mum recovering from recent surgery. During the one-day trip with them while I was watching Daisuke in a morning show telling how cute each item is on the shelves in a knickknack shop, (the program counted he said “Kawaii’ for 25 times) I debated and denied and scolded myself but in the end I was surrendered. I was scheduled to go to two more shows already but decided to go to another. (I have to work REALLY hard and eat beans after I return to reality!) This shows got you really addictive! The music from it keeps playing in your head all day! Help! So I went back to the Theater in Shibuya for two of the Wednesday shows on the 6th. The seat on the first one that I newly bought was comfortably away from the stage in the back of the 1st floor, and I decided to use my binocular one more time for “Cube” Dai-chan. And he was a bomb! Where is that puppy who would tell how cute the toy is??? The movement of each dancer is a little different in each show for this “Cube” experimentation. They improvise themselves and so did Daisuke with other dancers. Did I see Dai reached Randi’s hair in a naughty way and gave a wicked smile!? He was showing satisfied snicker on one cheek looking down all of us controlled under his finger. Where is our good boy Dice!? The night show was even more intense. It was now hard to express. Every dancer and skater is working organically with each other to create one big phenomenon. By this time Jeri and Paul went back to the states and I really was sad about that. They should have seen the last half of the show period! Now knowing all the names of everyone and have favorite scenes for each of them the show and this company getting more and more dear to me. And now I only have one more to go already... On Saturday evening, all the Dai fans in the audience already shed some tears before its start and felt determined to return the love to all the performers. And when it started every movement of every cast member told that that was final. All the "white" Dai's performances were something really other than human. Deadly caring and hopelessly impersonal, all through the time gorgeous. But oh, the craziness and passion in his eyes all through on this last day!! The dance with Cheryl was the best and I couldn't hold back my tears. It was so deeply emotional. When he came back to the last episode all in red from behind the mirror, he was obviously emotional that I could tell from my row 6 seat. No more Ice Dice. For this once, those five walked up toward the front all hand in hand! One step and another they moved I could feel they try to treasure the moment. According to one of my Dai-friend who sat on the front row, his eyes were filled with tears. When the dance started and Dai turned, another friend in the front row witnessed a tear drop from his eye flew off showing a beautiful curve. The picture later I found everyone in the audience up to the 3rd floor were standing. I have never experienced this much feeling of togetherness in everyone on stage and the audience seat in a show. I will never forget this and I am forever thankful to be there, and for all who contributed to this show to come true. And Cheryl san, thank you for giving this opportunity to Daisuke, and kept offering without giving up for three years!! Dai's shout to "Aishiteru yo!!!!" was undoubtedly to all his fans regardless whether they are there or not. To all of us who support this huge challenge!! | |
