| I am concerned about rink size. Hockey rink is small and narrow so it's not easy to glide and to take off jump own timing. GO Daisuke! https://twitter.com/asahi_sports↑twitter @ asahi sports. It's very useful. | |

| Hi! And good morning, ostile17 and Genki! Thank you for the practice report! Did you enjoy a night in London? Or are you guys staying in Tronto or Detroit? - ostile17 wrote:

We don't need to worry about it at all. Dai-chan's practice in the first day in each competition is always like that. The success rate will gradually increase and he will peak in a real competition. It's an ideal scenario, though. - ostile17 wrote:

Can't wait to see it! - fosse wrote:

Hockey rink is small and narrow so it's not easy to glide and to take off jump own timing. http://www.yomiuri.co.jp/sports/winter/news/20130312-OYT1T00284.htm?from=ylistTakahashi practiced at the rink which was the same size as the rink in London, in CT for two weeks before he came here. Even though, he hit the boad during pracice (today) and said "I felt like that the boad was close because of the high speed ice here." I thought the small size problem wouldn't bother him much because he is an experienced skater and has skated several times in competitons with small rinks in his career. But it seems it's not so easy... Dai-chan also said to press, (Sorry, this is what I remember...) "I've practiced a lot as much as I can move spontaneously. So only jumps are left." The drawing for SP is in 4 hours from now! Ganbare Dai-chan!!

| https://youtu.be/jZA5WQ2ZRec1:02 I think too much partially, so I need to be my regular self as much as I can. I'd like to skate with all the strength, without thinking too much. https://youtu.be/nKyRnrbbcNE0:30 I've practiced a lot as much as I can move spontaneously. So my only concern is jump." | |

| Hmmmm.... I would worry more that he said that that he feels really tired, and he thinks the jumps will come back once the fatigue goes away. That doesn't sound normal to me, and believe he looked exhausted and almost scared yesterday afternoon in practice. I noticed that after he hit the barrier in the beginning, he started having difficulties with the 3A, as if he was scared to hit the barrier again... he really looked scared and lost! Back at the rink already, even if Dai is on at around noon. Couldn't sleep anyway. Meeting Genki later and the other aunties later, I hope! Sorry I didn't reply but had no internet connection back at the hotel last night! Gambare, Dai-chan!!!!!!! | |

| More report here: "Daisuke fell on a quad and seemed a little uneasy about his ankle afterward. He still managed to land other quads and axels though. He spent the longest time on the ice. When he went to leave the ice, people started screaming "happy birthday" to him and he waved shyly before running away. Why? Idk, I thought his bday was on the 16th. Confirmation with google tells me I'm right." http://ontd-skating.livejournal.com/1283677.html Why J-media doesn't show other quads that he landed? Chasing the sensations? That's why I trust people's reports better. Go, Dai! GORGEOUS fan art from practice day: http://p.twipple.jp/OZuc3 | |

| Uh.... unfortunately no, he wasn't able to land one single clean quad yesterday, and was struggling with most of his 3As. It was really a disastrous practice. He stayed on last, that's true, he didn't want to leave. People were giving him presents at the practice rink yesterday, I heard no creaming yesterday at the practice rink, but maybe I didn't catch the Japanese. Will ask Genki. Hopefully he's less tired and stressed out today! Gambare, Dai-chan! | |

Poor, ostile17... Please read my post in the previous page. It's very ordinary way he starts a competition. He will get used to the small rink soon as well. Be positive, Captain! Please don't worry too much. You have to send positive power to him, don't you? Take it easy, enjoy the competition!

I'm sure you are right, Miyu, he just looked really tired and scared, I've never seen him like that! I'm sure he'll be back!!! The Canadians are on the ice now. Chan doesn't look as confident as yesterday, but he hasn't skated yet!

| Good skating order for Dai! I believe he will be OK. He just had a bad practice yesterday and that is all it was a bad practice. He will shine when it counts. GO DAI!!!!
I understand ostile why you feel bad. Dai was probably so frustrated and upset with himself and it is difficult as a fan to watch someone we admire go through difficulties. But do not underestimate our Dai, he is a tough competitor.
I did read on another board that a poster said that Dai's practice was a "mess" and the poster was also concerned about him.

He is leaner than he was in the 4CC, isn't he? Maybe that's one of the reasons why he looked tired, I guess.

| It has been reported that Dai is having trouble with his quads again, otherwise they say he is having a good practice except for the quads. Apparently Yuzu is having trouble too. | |

| Today's practice was so much better. Great 3As, unfortunately no clean quads were landed. But he definitely looked better than yesterday. True, Hanyu looked pretty bad! Fingers crossed for tonight. We cheered for Dai a lot.... The rascals that we are!!! | |

| Thanks for the video clip Miyu, beautiful steps indeed. I could hear the rascals in the background cheering for Dai. lol In the video I did notice that Dai does look a little thinner in the face. | |

| Thanks ilica.
Frankly I thought this worlds for power jumper until last Sunday. But now i am not sure. It seems that Rink is small and narrow, Ice is too slippy and solid. This kind of ice is required great skating skills and stamina, very harsh ice for jumper.
After reading and seeing lots of reports, now I am sure Daisuke can win the game. I just wish his biorhythm reaches peak on free skating night.
Go Daisuke! GO rascals!
