| Hello hsuhs
Thank you for your information!! :-)
I'm so busy right now I don't have any chance to watch until perhaps tonight for the first time but defintely tomorrow after work. Has anybody watched anything so far?
The men's list of participation looks grand! They are going to show their short programme today, right? I saw that also Keven van der Perren is listed :-)))) I'm sure it'll be a great competition :-)))
Cheers Gudrun. | |

| Hi Gudrun and all! Here's a YT channel that posts all the videos: https://www.youtube.com/user/NikaQuestThis Euros is Kevin van der Perren's last competition (at least he says so). He is turning 30 this year. Not sure if he's going to medal here, but he still has a quad, 3A and three-jumps combos. I read Evgeny Plushenko is in pain and isn't planning a quad in his SP. ETA: Russia-2 is airing men sp right now. | |

| Hi there :-)
I have just watched some videos showing the men's short programme. I found it a little disappointing really! They didn't / couldn't show what they are usually capable of ...
Tomas Verner skated the nicest programme, very fluid and lovely :-) I am very happy for him! :-)
Plushenko delivered a good performance but I don't really like his way of skating. The feeling is missing somehow. I have the feeling while watching him that he is only preparing for the next jump ... there was one spin that was really interesting, almost a the end, though :-)
I really missed Dai-chan on the ice! I thought no one today could really compete with him ... he is just fabulous :-)))
I hope the free programmes will be more attractive to watch :-)
What do you think of the programmes so far?
Cheers Gudrun. | |

| I had similar thoughts, guys.
Nobody really delivered 100% today except for Gachinski, imo (too bad I can't stand his 'artistry'). Michal disappointed, and so did KvdP. Joubert simply bombed. Javier can do so much better. Tomas kind of did OK today, I thought (it's been a while since he's had a semi-clean skate).
Overall, a very blah competition so far. Here's a hope for a better free.

| Hi guys! I'm absolutely agree with you. This competition was really boring and disappointing. I expected much more interesting championship. Gachinski was good, but he is a copy of Plushenko so I can't stand him. Plushenko as usual was like a windmill. I can't understand how he get so high PCS. It's unfair. And 8.64 for SS??? Tomas was good. His PCS should be much higher. I can't understand why judges gave him only 38.75. I feel really sorry for Michal, Javier and Joubert. I hope they'll do much better tomorrow. | |

http://www.isuresults.com/results/ec2012/ec2012_Men_SP_Scores.pdfYep, Everything was just ridiculous. Even a generous judge gave B.Joubert 9.25 for Performance/Execution. 9.25..simply WOW~ Certainly, judges are really kind & generous for some skaters.

| Hi there
I watched some of the videos showing the ladie's short programmes - and that was really totally different from the short programmes the men showed yesterday! Usually, it is the other way round, isn't it?
I'm very happy for Kiira Korpi, it's quite a while that she skated so well :-) She was skating easily, like floating, and her jumps were really good :-) And Ksenia Makarova was so lovely, too :-)) A little insecure (on the landings) from time to time but also very nice :-)
I'm looking forward to seeing the ladie's free programme.
Cheers Gudrun. | |

I would like to watch the men's free programme live but neither Rossia2 nor Debilizator show it. Does anyone know a feed with which to watch it?
Cheers Gudrun. | |

| Hi there
The men's competition was interesting in the end, wasn't it? :-)
I feel a little sorry for Michal Brezina but very happy for Florent Amodio - it was such an emotional scene, wasn't it?
Javier Fernandez startet off so well ... and couldn't keep it up - very sad ...
It's a pity that Artur Gachinski couldn't win due to Evgeni Pluchenko's presence. He might not be able to overtake Pluchenko, no matter what he does ... I just didn't like Pluchenko's behaviour at the end of his skate. There is so much aggression ... I know he's happy that he was able to deliver that well but his gestures were just too much ...
Now the ladies are on the ice.
Cheers Gudrun.

| Hi there
Did anybody apart from hsuhs and me watch the championships? :-)))
Congratulations to Carolina, Kiira (although quite a shaky performance) and Elena (very energetic performance)!
I was really amazed when watching Polina Korobeinikova skate. She's only 15 years old and showed lovely jumps. Her skating style is lovely, too :-)
I also liked watching Viktoria Helgesson. I once thought she moved her head like Dai-chan (you know the special head movement while skating?) :-)))
Not long and we are going to see Dai-chan skate again - it's been such a long time already .... *sighs
Cheers Gudrun. | |

| Hello hsuhs :-)))
Thank you soooooo much for sharing! What a difference!! It's so much fun watching these guys skate!
And Jeremy's programme brought tears to my eyes! He was totally in it, had so much fun - just incredible! I really wish him all the best for today's free programme!
And you are absolutely right, what an amazing performane Adam showed! I'm very happy for him, too :-)
Thanks again, this made my day!
Gudrun.

Me, too. I don't understand what does mean music, performance and choreography in figureskating nowadays. No emotions, excitement..etc. Just (one, two, three) JUMP~ (one, two, three) JUMP~ but ISU judges are always ready to give big PCS for one dimensional program. I really don't understand why those generous judges don't give Daisuke's multi dimensional programes perfect scores for PCS.

| Jeremy was just amazing in his Short Program. Adam was great too. I hope they both deliver in their Long Program this afternoon. I would love to see them both make the World Team. Unfortunately the team that was sent to last years Worlds only secured the US 2 spots for this year. | |

I bet that's not how he wanted to end his career. Maybe, if he heals his injury in time for worlds, he could skate there? - Gudrun wrote:

They came well prepared! - fosse wrote:

I thought in 2012 Euros, Euro judges were trolling Skate Canada when they gave Evgeni Plushenko those PCS for his free program performance. - fosse wrote:

Hard to tell. But I think Daisuke's international PCS will grow when he skates technically strong programs (with quads and level 4 elements), like his recent Nationals SP. - Shyla wrote:
