Thanks for the results, glorydave!

Shocked I can't believe Domnina and Shabalin are in 5th! It's sort of like deja vu! The exact same thing happened to Belbin and Agosto at Worlds last season. It'll be interesting to see if D/S can make the podium or if they'll be stuck in 5th.

Pairs...well I think S/S will come back and win like they did at SA.

No No
This year, just too many injuries. Crying or Very sad Kimmie Meissner & Emily Hughes have withdrawn from US Nationals due to injury too.

I don't know well about pair's discipline. However MUKHORTOVA/TRANKOV were so beautiful. I love you I was impressed.

A very good competition indeed. Great job from all of the guys. I would have wanted our swedish guys to do just a little better, but we'll see what happens tomorrow. Contesti was a surprise for me, but that was a wonderful program. To bad for Brezina. And Yannick... He is one of my favourite skaters nowadays, so I was so sad for him. I hope he can skate better tomorrow.

Aliona and Robin have a wonderful program LP this year. Love it. I can forgive them for last season (when I hated their LP). Go for gold in WC! And Kawaguchi/Smirnov are one of my favourite skaters as well. Really happy for them. Maria had a nasty fall, but they made it to the bronze at least. Congratualtions to all of the medalists!

Edit: No double post here. xD
Domina/Shabalim have withdrawn due to injury. I wonder if it has something to do with his fall in the compulsory dance? I feel bad for them. No WC last year, and now this. And we haven't got Delobel/Schoenfelder this year etither. I'm gonna vote Kerr for gold then xD cheers

Thanks for the info, alekzu. I'm not Domnina and Shabalin's biggest fan but I do feel for them. The "veterans" of the dance field have seriously been attacked by injuries. Hopefully, they will all make it to worlds. Do you know if it's a flare up of Maxim's knee issues?

The men's results: I won't have time to see any of the performances right now but Alban Preaubert's PCS aggravate me for some reason. They're rather low in my opinion. Even Yannick Ponsero's (who's down in 9th place) are higher. Speaking of Yannick, it's too bad. He's really sort of a hot-cold skater. He's capable of podium finishes when he's on but he just can't get the consistency. Hopefully he can skate better in the long but I do wonder if the French Federation will consider sending Alban to worlds over him despite the fact that Yannick is national champion.

I'm happy Tomas Verner was able to have a good, strong performance in the short and I hope he can keep it up for the long.

Sorry for the long post...I just had a lot to say...

Yes, Domnina and Shabalin have indeed withdrawn. Right after the CD though, Oksana and Maxim gave a short interview in which Maxim stated he wasn't handicapped by the injury. He didn't know why he fell.

In another interview the same day, their coach Natalia Linichuk told the reporter that Maxim's fall in the CD was caused by a loss of concentration, and therefore she didn't want to overdramatize the situation.

There's something strange going on there, IMO. Either Maxim hasn't healed properly from his injury (and it's kept a secret), or D/S are having other issues. Must be very worrisome for their fans.

What a finale! I thought my friend here and me were going to die of loss of breath. Great job Brian, I liked the program. Contesti was a surprise, but a fun one. A big congratualtions to Kevin, you finally made the podium! But my poor other frenchmen.... It's not fare! The difference between Kevin and Yannick was so small! And Alban.... Don't ask me what happened there. His score is a mystery to us. No worlds for him I suppose. And tomas.... Get a grip of yourself! You can't continue like this. Kristoffer finished 8, totslly awesome. Adrian didn't do well at all I'm afraid. Better luck next time. Over and out.

Thanks for the results, alekzu. It's too bad France only has 2 spots for worlds. Personally, I think Alban gets seriously jipped on the PCS. Good for Yannick though, coming back to win the free. Too bad he couldn't make the podium. I think there's a small possibility that the French Federation could send Alban to worlds. Yannick is woefully inconsistent and that could factor into the decision. Of course, congrats to Brian! I'm looking forward to seeing this new program...although I find it interesting that he's reusing the costume he wore at worlds last year.

Tomas, Tomas, Tomas....ever since last year's worlds, he hasn't quite gotten his confidence back. He did well in the short, though.

This isn't the first time Kevin van der Perren has medaled at Euros. He won bronze in 2007.

Congrats to all the medalists!

It's good to see Brian won Euro!! Way to go! cheers
"Wow!" to Contesti. He is an entertainer! Wink And Kevin looked touched by his own performance at the end of his FP. Great comeback from him! Very Happy

It's a shame France has only 2 spots for Worlds.

Agreed. However it has been kind of obvious since TEB. Neutral It was sad to see he was in good shape and skated almost without any mistakes but couldn't win at both TEB and CoR. Crying or Very sad
Regarding Yannick's inconsistency, IMO, he has been far more consistent so far than former seasons. Very Happy
Yannick's quad is just wonderful!!! I love you
