Sorry... Also, I realized any channel I try, I only get sound but no video... it wasn't happening before the update!

| ostile17, no problem, I'll try a different site, but can you first try adding a ? to the end of the link? Like this:
i.pixs.ru/storage/8/6/1/FujiTVjpg_3817377_6565861.jpg?
still no luck? | |

| No, I tried but no luck. It happens sometimes with Russian picture websites: my internet provider says it cannot find it. | |

I had that too, but right now the channel hsuhs said is working. It's the one below IBC Radio 684.

Really? According to my google translation of the schedule it suppose to be some "king of the profit" idiot show, and it looks like this. BTW I always wanted to ask about those hours(?) 26:24 etc, is this how the time is counted in Japan?

Yeah, it reads like some kind of a money-show, just hard to tell if it's the right one. Anyways things can change many times before next week Friday. - ilica wrote:

Someone explained that one while ago. IIRC, the time is posted like that to avoid confusion in regard to TV schedule. 26:24 means 02:24 AM?

Yes, although I don't remember why they do this, 25.00 is 1.00 AM, 26.00 is 2.00 AM, etc For info, another way to watch FujiTv - although not live, but it can be a great way to catch up or see something again - is using this page which allows you to stream the last few days of all the major tv channels in Japan: http://61.172.249.113:8080/jptv24vod/From there, choose the channel (forget all the BS channels, they aren't being updated), for instance FUJIT for Fuji TV There, copy the base url at the top of the page (usually mms://61.172.249.113/jptv24vod/), then open a video player that allows streaming (I use VLC which is free). Find the streaming menu in the video player and enter the that part of the url: in VLC, it's under media, then choose "network". Then back on the FUJIT page, copy the file name corresponding to the day and hour you wish to watch (which will look like this FUJIT_20121215_0200.asf), then copy it after the mms: bit. You'll end up with an url looking like this: mms://61.172.249.113/jptv24vod/FUJIT_20121215_0200.asfThen hit play (or stream, you might have to do a little bit of error and trial before it works). It is down occasionally, but it's mostly worked fine for me to watch the GPF coverage on TV Asahi. Note that the quality is sometimes mediocre (like for TV Asahi) - Fuji TV is better and the quality is much better than on Keyhole TV (it's never choppy, for instance). But once again, you can't watch live - however, the files are updated every hour so you'll be essentially one hour behind Hope it helps ^-^

| Hello! I’d like to add some excerpt from a serial of articles on Osaka Nichinichi Newspaper. Daisuke’s interview part is, to be honest, pretty much what everyone knows already through different articles but you may find it interesting to read the words from Morozov and Ms Nagamitsu, especially the latter. Original links: http://www.nnn.co.jp/dainichi/rensai/skate/121218/20121218024.htmlhttp://www.nnn.co.jp/dainichi/rensai/skate/121219/20121219036.htmlhttp://www.nnn.co.jp/dainichi/rensai/skate/121220/20121220038.htmlNikolai Morozov’s statement:
** The Key was that he could enjoy skating
I’m happy that he could successfully land his 2nd quad which he hasn’t made for a while. It was a long time to wait for his skating order (6th for FS), but he handled it well. I advised him to go back to the hotel to rest after the short program to prepare for the free skating next day, also added the word to tell him, "today you skated wonderfully. It would be great if you can win again tomorrow." The success he had in this competition is that he could enjoy skating. Daisuke is the world best skater. It’s that simple. And I work for him to win in Sochi Olympics. This rink is good in a pretty color. I believe everyone will get excited here. The audience all will cheer up Daisuke. They love Japanese people.Utako Nagamitsu’s interview article:
"The Challenge" for the Next Competition
** It took some time to correct his body alignment
"By performing his short program without mistakes for the first time in this season, he could finally clear one of his goals. For the free skating he was too tensed up and couldn’t help making mistakes. I understand that that has given us good challenges for the next competition." Daisuke Takahashi’s long time coach Ms Utako Nagamitsu summed up his performances in this competition.
After his first game of Grand Prix series, Cup of China in which he suffered from problems of unfitted boots, he changed them right away and resumed his practice. But his body alignment was already messed up because of the ill-fitted boots. "The process to correct his alignment to neutral and to condition it to improve further took a longer time than we thought. He was right on that process during the NHK Trophy. He finally regained the line we are convinced with just right before we left Japan." Said Coach Nagamitsu.
It was December 1st when Takahashi left for Moscow for his last conditioning before the competition. He then followed the practice menu based on the guiding principle of Nikolai Morozov, that was 2 times daily, in the afternoon and in the evening, and he went in Sochi fully ready. Coach Nagamitsu added, "we would like to build up the practice on this condition, keeping the good body alignment for the Japan Nationals and then the World. If he could do that then I think his programs would be shaped with more, with a deeper flavor." The "more" she suggest is "the breath", so to speak. She is saying that the part of the execution of his programs, like the breath, the air or the atmosphere, he hasn’t owned such invisible quality of them yet.
What she wants from Takahashi is not just skating the program perfectly with no mistakes. She demands something more profound. Something you feel in between lines if it is a story, some delicate nuance you use all your five senses to feel. “To achieve such level you have to have your best body alignment and it requires practice on ice to be built up with lots of repetitions. That’s the only way to gain your confidence and make such aspect to appear in the performances.” She is certain about it. Another concern the Coach has is about his triple Axel in this season. Takahashi only replied, "Axel has been my forte but now it acts like a stray child staying lost at the moment", when he was asked about it in the press conference. It’s what we normally expect from Daisuke, no excuses. But actually there is a reason. It is the fact that he changed his blades. "You need a different timing for the take off in the jump entrance compared with the former blades. Even if he can jump well in the practice, once in the competition he might move like the former way." She says that He is going through the stage to completely adjust to the new ones. "For the general skating itself the new blades fit him better, so it’s a question to decide which is the priority." While she says this, however, her sound expression shows no worry. It should come from her belief that the good skating quality matters most, and more than that, it must be from her absolute trust in Takahashi. Thank you and sorry for any mistakes. I believe the last article, #4 is still coming. I will put it up if I find anything new in it. ostile17 Thank you for the ballet clip! I'm so glad with his decision to learn ballet. And ilica, thank you for the article. Great reading! I agree with the photo part. I had a little sad feeling to hear again that he's not interested in his skating in shows after he retires, though he already said that before. Gambare Daisuke in the Nationals!!
