Congratulations on Carolina's good result in SP!!
I like her skating very much. What is the music she used for SP? Do you know it? Very interesting music (for me it sounds like Japanese melody.) and she skated nicely with that music. Very original!!
I think she is eager to go to GPF in Turin. Good Luck for Carolina!!

I always love Yu-na's skating too and I also like the music of her SP. But after I saw her performance I'm afraid such kind of waltz is bit difficult for single skater to skate...........

And tonight another Dai-chan's big rival will appear on the ice! Lambiel used to be unstable at the beginning of season before. But this year he has already shown his new SP in August and he keeps his LP Flamenco. He might be different from passed seasons. Dai-chan won, Brian won and Stephan will win?????
Anyway I'd love to see Stephan's Flamenco again!

中国杯のランビエール選手の演技楽しみですね！ 大ちゃんには申し訳ないけど、ステファンのフラメンコ大好きです。
皆さんはいかがですか？

大ちゃん優勝( )、ジュベール優勝、そしてランビエールも優勝となるのか！！！ トップ3が全勝でGPFへ！なんて事態になるかもしれませんね。
そして、「全勝対決を制して大ちゃんがGPF優勝！！」 なーんて、夢見がち過ぎるでしょうか？？？

スケカナのケヴィン・ヴァン・デル・ペレン選手（名前長っ）の衣装 すごかったですね。 私はあの衣装で、EW＆Fのファンタジーを滑って欲しいです。モーリス・ホワイトかっ！って突っ込んであげたい。

She is only skater who received over 60 points by far this GP Series!
I always like her skating very much.
And I love Yu-Na's program, too!
Despite of some mistakes, she was really beautiful.

Thanks glorydave and miyu for the COC updates! I heard that Evan did a quad (he might have touched his hand down on it though) in the short which explains his very high score.

I saw men SP on TV.
Lysacek did 4T-3T combination, even if he touched his hand down as umdgirl0506 wrote, but he also did clean 3A and 3Lz.
Lambiel did only 2A and he also fell down on 4T, but he obtained best score in program components...
I hope he will do better in FP!

I read this report of men SP on Isu site...
I think it's interesting, especially Lambiel's statements.

WOW 8 points over his previous personal best score for Lysacek!
Weir did clean and beautiful program.
I really loved it.
Lambiel's program was nice too despite of his fall.
I think he will receive highest PCS with Daisuke this season.

Thanks for the newest updates and for the ISU article glorydave! It's very interesting about Lambiel's triple (now currently double) axel. Hopefully with the new take off he will get it done more consistently from now on! I wish him success and hope to see it soon if not here at COC!

As for the ladies' LP, I'm very happy with the results (I like both Yu-na and Caroline). Yu-Na had no negative GOEs either! Fumie Suguri also had a wonderful comeback, jumping from eleventh place to third place in the free! I'm sorry about Carolina's LP though, but she did medal at least!

The second group in the men's program is skating right now. It's quite exciting!

I haven't seen men FP yet, but I read judges score...

LAMBIEL fell down on 4T (considered as 3T), on the second 4T in combination and on 3F... He also made some mistakes with 3Lo (-2,20 GOE).
He had level 3 and 4 in spins, but only 1 and 2 in steps...
So he had only 53.22 points in techincal elements...

LYSACEK fell down on 4T and he also did an error with first 3A (considered as 2A and -1,40 GOE). But Evan did a good job with spins (all level 4)!

WEIR had the highest score both in technical elements and program components! He didn't try quad, but he did good jumps, with no negative GOE!

(I heard that Carolina had an injury (ligamentous explosion - is it right for english?) from November... )

This competition's ice quality was REALLY bad.
At Ladies', despite of Yu-Na, all of them fall at least 1 to 4 times.
During I watching this event on live, I think they were really concentrated and have a strong mind because they perform nearly perfectly (and Johnny did clean program throughout SP and FS!) though that so bad ice quality that all skaters did so many step-outs and falls.

Alright Johnny! He's finally skating up to his potential again. Evan once again got thwarted by the quad. He may not have needed the quad here but he's going to need it in the future, he just has to keep training it. He has time before the Grand Prix final to practice it. Aww Stephane... Three falls. I hope he does better at his next Grand Prix.

Also congrats to Yu-Na Kim and Caroline Zhang! Caroline is really making a splash on the senior scene. I hope she makes the Grand Prix final. Special congrats to Fumie Suguri for pulling up to 4th place from 11th.

So happy for Pang and Tong and Belbin and Agosto! No one expected Belbin and Agosto to win because they were second in the CD and the OD. Can't wait to see how both these teams do at the Grand Prix final!

Congrats Johnny!!! Very beautiful and intense performance!! I was impressed he looked determined and more muscular than before. He's back!!

Yeah, that's right. But I'm afraid he would not be able to win Worlds without quads.

Things were a bit tough for Evan though he was good too. I hope he won't lose his drive. (He looked a bit angry at K&C.)
Stephan..... I was sad to see him soooooooo depressed at K&C.......... (BTW, what do you think the girls carrying big baskets on their back who moved back and forth in front of skaters at K&C????)

Really??? That was bad for the skaters..... I'm fairly sure there were a lot of falls as you wrote.

I can't hardly wait to see Dai-chan again at NHK after seeing such hot men's competitions!! According a former news, he is in France with Morozov now. Hope no injury and good practice.

I'm so happy for Johnny! It's great to see him skating that well again, especially in the long program. He looked so happy.

I feel bad for Stephane though... I hope he does better at Cup of Russia.
