I was very lucky to watch Denis periscoping live with Tanith Belbin at the cafeteria of ice rink. For just a couple of seconds you can spot Dai (I guess there are some legal issues and Dai cannot appear on videos related to show)

@let's talk - Will you be attending any of the shows?

I went to Osaka today to see both shows. Couldn't wait.  

In the Opening Dai looked a little shy, reserved and embarrassed, even slightly pale I would say. The long stay away from the public perhaps made him feel a little nervous. He was acting as a host, leading the entire routine. While Dai for his whole career was one of the most artistic skater in the figure skating history, this time his command of body looked professionally much better. That was noticable even in that tiny Opening apperance.

The second time he showed up at the end of the 1st part of the show (before the last, Shizuka was closing). At first I thought the costume looked like the Moonlight Sonata costume "half-way", plus the leather pants. One of the sleeve was missing and the shirt wasn't fixed. But then, no way, that was a dancer outfit. The shirt was waving around his body making him look half naked, at some point he was streching it on purpose, exposing his torso of some Ancient Greek sculpture. There was no body-color shirt under it and the nipples was seen. PATTINA, the armpits were shaven! No way he would ever show up like that in public if he had never left Japan   . The choice of music was very unusual for figure skating to say the least, deeply intimate and powerfully impressive. The same was the dance. It wasn't some exhibition number for an ice show. It was a professional dance on the ice. The command of body was very sharp and clear. The fusion with music was natural, as if both the dance and the music were performed by the same person. He was in a very good physical shape. The music was slow but the dance was speedy like some cosmic light. I could barely start clapping when he was approaching my seat and then he was already gone. His body was toned with no shadow of tiredness or harsh. In both numbers (new EX and collaboration with Chris) he performed 3F, 3Z, 3S high and clean, plus a split jump. The 'Lacrimosa' is a new fresh word in figure skating art, way out of traditional boundaries, that make the entire sport look archaic and outdated.      

In the second half he was skating the collaboration number with Chris, wearing black pants and a tan-color shirt with a black sparkling scarf. Then he was funning arond with the cast in the Finale. He was a little more open in the second show, probably the nervousness went down after seeing all that crazy support of hungry fans in the first show. In general Dai looks really good. Very fit, slim, healthy, strong and terribly handsome. More mature I would add and less dorky.

10 seconds of Lacrimosa and I'm already dead. Even from this way-to-short sneakpeek one can say it's a totally new way of expressing art in figure skating.

Dai is taking his skating to the next artistic level from your description and the sneak peak that Pattina posted. I must say the program looks fabulous and so does Dai. I don't know if my heart can take the full version! His costume is definitely in the "Red Alert" range

O my...

Dai obviously wants to kill us all, how he thinks our starving hearts will survive this new and bold ART????? And THAT costume??????
We all knew he had it in him, but how it is possible to do something like this out of the blue? - to go to such level of artistic sophistication (and physical fitness ) after so many months out of the ice?!
Of course, I've seen only a glimpse of Lacrimosa, but as Pattina - I'm dead.

What should I say? I could be staring at Dai for hours. Breathtaking intensity.

If compared to the other "traditional" program (collaboration with Chris) yes Lacrimosa is something far beyond. Movements flowing one into the other and Dai's face was amazing beauty in grieve.

Pattina, thank you so very much for the link.  I was MESMERIZED by his movement on ice.  I still cannot believe how beautifully he is able to dance on those blades so freely and with such ease.  This performance took me back to Sochi, when I first discovered him, and I believe I informed everyone on this forum that I was "stunned" that someone could move so gracefully on ice.  Once again, I find myself stunned.  I can't say enough good things about this performance.  He took my breath away, as always.  Just beautiful.

So beautiful and moving I got choked up watching, loved it.  As I watched his brilliant dance
on ice  I felt as if Dai-chan was having a conversation with the audience and it was
personal. The intensity of the program was palpable. What an artist!
