Thank you everyone. Great photos and the Dai/Mao video is fabulous! Looks like they will be skating together to a Chris Hart song.

Cute picture, Ilica, and great video Miyu. It looks like it will be another awesome show and I'm so glad we will see Denis, too.

The first show is over.
As far as I can understand Japanese tweets: - at the opening Dai appeared in his rock'n'roll red costume, perfectly for Christmas - he performed Caravan - there was a surprise - Nikolai (I guess Morozov?) appeared as Santa in collaboration number with his daughter
The new D1sk towel is of course in red and green colors.
I want that cute D1SK bracelet with skates at the end! In every color!
Waiting for more accurate reports!

Thanks ilica for info and link to blueC's blog. Always interesting.
Me, too, trying to understand from tweets. Many compared Dai and Mao collaboration number to "birds" - and - if I got it right - in the end Daisuke appeared on ice dressed as in the video: white sweater and coat
Morozov and his daugher are at the show - he posted a pic of them at practice a couple of days ago. Nice he was asked to take part.

Thank you Ilica, Pattina and Let's Talk for the photos and videos. Mao and Dai look so good together. It was nice to see Nikolai and his daughter. She's quite flexible and it looks like a cute number that they did together. It's also great to see Akiko, Nobu and Denis.
Have a wonderful time at the show, Let's Talk. I can't wait to hear your detailed report along with Ostile's.

Thanks, Ilica, Pattina, Let's talk (enjoy the show) and Twind, much appreciated. Love Dai and Mao's costumes! Mao all in white and Dai in white shirt and blue pants, very stylish!

OMG that photo is just Dai-gorgeous!
Thank you ostile for your report. It does not surprise me Dai's Caravan as you say was "purified". Usually Christmas shows are more family friendly so the hotness level must be kept to a minimum. lol Dai's tango with Akiko would probably have been out of place with the theme of the show.

Hello, here's my short report, as usual written at 4 am! Today the show was so much better and more energetic than yesterday. All Dai's jumps were great and well landed. Even Caravan looked better and more lively than yesterday: I guess the show will get better and better. Too bad only 4 to go. During the press conference yesterday someone asked Dai how he was feeling now watching competitions without being part of it. He replied that he was even surprised himself that he could just not feel anything at all. He said "Maybe I mam ready to move on to the next step." Both Chai-san and Coba-san mentioned that he is doing some secret project and that he seems happy. Chai-san said that Dai's choices surprise him every time. They should stop teasing us and making us curious about Dai's (hopefully) new found Dream!!! Oh well, we'll be patient and wait for him to announce it.
Thank you so much Captain Ostile
Glad to read that jumps are back and programs were more brilliant.
Dai is having fun in this Christmas time away from competitions (National are usually in this period) and related stress. This makes me happy.
Curious about his new and secret projects, of course. I'm so selfish I wish he could go on skating for ever as pro in shows all over the world, so that all his overseas fans can have the chance to see him many times.
He will surprise us, for sure
Look here for Dai-gorgeousness and for pics of all skaters during XOI.

I attended the show on 22. Media is bullshitting everyone as usual. They focused all TV news on Mao but you won't find any Mao banner in the arena. You'll see thousands of D1SK towels, banners and other fan stuff. Probably that's why in news they don't show the audience. I hope Mao doesn't feel bad about it. It's not her fault that media treats Dai like that due to financial interests of JSF who are desperetaly trying to refocuse people's attention on their new milch cow from Dai who they cannot exploit anymore. Good luck with that.
The show was so kind, pure, positive and full of love just like a Christmas show was supposed to be. Dai is in great shape, he landed all jumps with no mistake (3F, 3Z, 3T, 2A, no major jumps of course), once he had a very short exit but I think it was because otherwise he would crash the board of that tiny rink. His spins are fast and flexible, steps are energetic and dynamic. He looks very relaxed, happy, shining and calmly radiating. Champagne and fireplace. In the opening he was wearing a red Stroll jacket, did 3F, a high Russian split jump and his combo spin. In the 1st part of the show all skaters did their EX. Dai skated Caravan. I didn't see the changes that Ostile mentioned. It was as funny, comedy-like, flirting with sending kisses to public as I saw in FrOI in summer. Yet it was a little softer in movements, less spiky. But I assume it is because Dai feels colder in winter than in August heat, not becuase he wanted to change the spirit of EX . Did 3F, 3Z jump-wise.
The Act 2 was all about Christmas. Dai opened it with a short number White Christams in lyrical mood. He did 3F and skated with a lot of melting hands lines in very gentle and tender movements. He with Mao closed the show with their collaboration number. Oh god. That's a Disney fairy tale of two royalties, a prince and a princess, but not a couple, who are looking for their halves and sharing some thoughts with each other about that. Dai was in a tender light-blue shirt, the same one as he wore in Sochi gala, and white pants. Mao's dress is a very gentle light-pink color, it might look white on youtube but it is not. I was lucky to be in 1st row of that side of North super-arena where Dai&Mao approached the audience in Finale. Dai was like 50 cm right in front of me. He is as handsome as in photos if not better. Mao too! Some auntie behind me almost pushed me on the ice trying to greet Dai. If I didn't have a lot of PIW experience in situations like that, I probably would have ended up falling right on him. Not that I mind much but still. So I managed to keep the balance. My next favourite after Dai and Mao in the show was Morozov with his daughter. He was Santa and she was a kid waiting for Santa with a Christmas gift. They did 1A and two dance lifts, one was from I/K LO. The number itself was so humoristic, genki like down to earth dream!
As you know the video is not allowed, so I filmed only ikebanas in the lobby:
They were selling the latest WFS#67 which is not in general sale yet. What a gift for all Dai fans! The whole magazine is only about Dai, with photos, interviews with people who worked with him, etc. But I haven't read anything yet. Still keep looking.
I am off Tokyo for Christmas stuff. If someone attends the last show, please tell us if Kenji became 'Mao' this time.
Merry Christmas, everyone!

Thank you for the updates, everyone and thanks also to Ostile and Let’s Talk for their reports.
Ostile: It’s so nice to hear that you were able to attend the press conference and all of the shows. We can all live through you vicariously.
Let’s Talk: I’m so happy you got such great seats. The view must have been incredible. I am glad you managed to stay on your feet without landing on Dai but that would have been interesting. I loved hearing about the banners and towels as it proves that his fan base is still strong and will always continue to be. I can’t wait to see videos of Nikolai and his daughter and am also looking forward to seeing videos of all the other skaters. By the way, the black and white image is gorgeous. Have a nice time in Tokyo and thanks again for sharing your experience with us.
Pattina: Nice video of Dai with his cast mates.
Here is a link to some photos of Dai with Mao thanks to the uploader nexttimeisnotthesame.

Thanks let's talk for your detailed report, sounds like you had a lot of fun! You were so lucky to get first row seats, I would have passed out being that close to Dai-chan. I am glad the Auntie who almost knocked you down did not hurt you, but I can understand her actions. lol Have a Merry Christmas!
Nice to hear that Dai had so many supporters in the audience. You are right none of the media clips showed the audience. I would have say that the media did focus on Mao more than any of the other skaters. I am looking forward to seeing Santa Morozov with his daughter and the other skaters too and of course Dai-chan and Mao!!
Thanks to Captain ostile for your report and to everyone who has posted goodies from XOI!
