| I love Daisuke.
No medal for Japanese men..quite a while. But they got 3 spots so they did their jobs. As we know, Daisuke's goal was to take 3 Olympic spots not a medal. He needs to take a break. I read even NM adviced him take off after Worlds. but already has some schedules ex) charity, WTT etc.....
And Denis..who can imagine..he won a medal. wow. He proved he has champion's caliber. Javier.. maybe he and his team expected different color of medal before worlds anyway he won a first medal that need for Sochi's medal. that's important. Patrick..he would be luckiest skater in the world.
Men are so close now and Japanese men are not so strong that people expected. That is reality.
Now I hope JSF is satisfied with doing their job during this season. they are idiots. In their way, Medal at Sochi would be impossible.

| Congratulations to the medalist! Especially Denis and Javier! Thanks miyu for the protocols. So Brian had invalid 3F. As for Dai, after he did 3T instead of 4T, he was probably thinking what kind of combination he could do next, maybe even was considering trying a quad again. This hesitation probably cost him the second axel. Ah, well... Hasn't he said his every other season is bad? Better times will come. My friend says, sometimes you have to lose something to win something bigger. Take a good rest Dai! We love you and are always with you! Thank you for the beautiful Moonlight Sonata, Dai! | |

| Thanks ilica. I guess they especially Simon would be love everything that Daisuke perfroms as we do.
Anyway how about Max Aaron. I think he would be become real contender next season. He has solid basic skills but just needs to be polished. He will go to Sochi as US mens leader.

| but i am relieved either. he showed his emotion in front of reporters, didn't he? It was rare. he never show his true feeling in public. crying would be helped. After that, he will restart for Sochi. Go Daisuke. | |

Many are thinking about you now but don't even worry about that. just have a good rest. So true.... Dai-chan, you did make tremendous amout of efforts for the competition, and we know about it well. So there is nothing you are ashamed of, even if it didn't turn out to be a good result. Please be proud of yourself who have worked that hard for the sport you love.

| http://pigeon-post.net/events/2013Worlds/quotes.htmlDaisuke Takahashi (JPN), 2012 World silver medalist I have nothing to say. I had enough training, but couldn’t show my best, that I was aiming for, here. Probably I failed to control my condition so it would peak here. Lots of spectators are supporting me. It was a very nice atmosphere. But I couldn’t do my best. | |

| Thanks for the articles Miyu. I hope that Akiko consoles Dai like he did for her. It does not surprise me that he had tears in his yes, Dai is very emotional guy. I do have a sense of sadness today for him especially since it is his Birthday and it should be a happy day.
I read on GS board from someone who was at the competition that when Dai was sitting in the K&C his fans sang Happy Birthday to him.
I wonder if Dai will be invited to skate in the Gala?

| It's so sad to have confirmtaion of his feelings of sadness and frustration... and that he cannot convert them into anything good. I guess it's just normal, at the end of the season, when you're exhausted and feeling miserable, to not have the motivation... I sure hope he manages to find it again. He looked so miserable in the K&C... his shoulders hunched, while we sang Happy Birthday to him... He really did look like mission impossible this time, judging from the 4 days of practice, but at some point, after the SP, I thought he could have pulled it off, somehow... But he couldn't... I guess our support wasn't enough to help him, this time. I hope he will feel better soon. Certainly not today...or tomorrow... Not being at the gala must hurt too, especially since he seems of being aware of how many people came here just to support him. Poor Dai-chan... so much responsibility on his shoulders.... he's just human, after all.
Worry not though, these Rascals are taking good care of him on his Birthday... We provided him with enough chocolatey goodies to cheer up an elephant...
Dai-chan, we love you and we always will: please take good care of yourself with some much deserved rest... Keep on shining, kid! <3 <3 <3

| Hi ostile I am still hoping that they will invite him to Gala. Have you heard anything for certain about the Gala. It must have been difficult for the Dai fans to watch Dai's disappointment in the in the K&C, I could not watch. So sweet of you all to sing him Happy B/Day and to give him plenty of chocolates. I ate some chocolate too last night it always makes me feel better
Thank you for all of your reports and thoughts, we all appreciate it so much.
In hindsight I don't think it was a good idea to go to US to train and even though I love his new SP I don't think it was a good idea to change it so late in season, to much work on new SP and then working on the quads was just to much for our poor Dai.

| Also Shyla, I feel a little sadness today for him especially since it is his Birthday and it should be a happy day Miyu it's nice to give us the link to send a little message of support for Dai. He needs to feel our respect and love. And I agree Ostile that it's a lot of pressure, a lot of expectations from so many people... It's hard. He is a beautiful man inside and outside. He deserves a lot of love | |

Some people said that he has been some problem even before SP so I thought he would be deny the invitation.

| I knew that they would invite him after all he is the most popular skater in the world!
That surely must make Dai feel better knowing that he placed 6th and he is so respected that he is invited to the Gala. This Rascal is thrilled that Canada showing its love for Dai!
Thanks Captain for the good news!
I will be rooting for Caro and the Japanese ladies and I hope all of the ladies skate well, unfortunately I will not be able to watch due to a prior commitment that I re-scheduled for today so that I could watch the Men yesterday. I hear Caro's FS is a masterpiece beauty!
