Finlandia Trophy 2012

I've been following FT the last 2 days.

I was paying special attention to Orser's male students, and they didn't disappoint:

Javier Fernandez won SP with 80.77 (his skate wasn't perfect).

Yuzuru Hanyu ended 2nd in SP with 75.57 (he had a fall on the opening quad, did a 3+2 combo too).


Today the men skated their free.

Yuzuru scored 172.56 = TES 90.70 + PCS 81.86 and won.

He did have some mistakes here and there:

Yet, he landed 2 different quads with a positive GOE in his free, and won overall.

Congratulations!

His PCS is lower than what it could have been, but, if you watch his LP video, you'll see how exhausted he looked in the end of his skate. His ankle also seems to still bother him.

Javier's LP to Charlie Chaplin looks very pleasant. Fernandez won bronze in this competition.

Reg his ankle: it looks like that in the video, as far as I know he doesn't mention it. Yeah, he's great!

Yet, I find Javi's LP slightly better (choreo-wise etc).
