I agree! One step at a time. A lot of improvements to celebrate at this competition - quad attempt in the short, fully rotated quad in the long, 3A3T in the long, improved spins, etc. He's on the right track!

I have always wondered about that! Hopefully it'll be one of those details he works out before Worlds.

I watched it again (a little addicted *hihi) and I really think that the coach, the skater and the choreographer just fantastically harmonise! They are absolutely right for each other!

I know what you mean, Gudrun! He's mesmerizing. Daisuke's so playful, flirty and relaxed in his moves, as if it's a piece of cake, and not a serious athletic competition I admire him for that

| Anybody left here? Just got home: I went to watch men's FP at my friend's, hoping it would help my nerves...
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPYYYYYYYY
Our Dai-chan made us proud. He skated beautifully. The Italian commentators were saying they all like Dai better and that tonight he should have won! They are starting to admit Chan is getting overscored!
Anyway..... THANK YOU DAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Staying up watching the pairs, if someone is around.

| Aliona and Robin were amazing. Their "Pina" is a masterpiece! Let's see if they can win....Only V/T left to skate.
Ok, they won! Happy now, and going to bed. I'll be here tomorrow for the FD and then the Gala!

| Yes, I watched pairs fs SO happy Aliona and Robin won!!! The top two pairs were both almost perfect today, and the Russians lost only by 0.18 overall. That's a tiny difference, but in this case it was the difference between silver and gold. I thought Yuko & Sasha were lovely. | |

| Thank you for all your comments, guys. Sorry for Misha. Why he can not really deliver his great programs? Go for European champion title, Misha! And all in all, I`m extremely proud of Daisuke`s performance!Judges, you are just blind, injustice, etc. But 3A-3T! TwisterSister, if Dai might he surely would do 3-2-2 combo. It`s not there yet, probably. And me too, I like his previous costume for FS so much more. It was so elegant. Dai-chan, you just break my heart with new flashy costume. | |

Especially Russian judge. Who can allow her to judge? SS – 5.50??????, choreography – 6.75 ?????. Totally unacceptable. I have a lot of questions on judging. And has the Japanese Federation some questions? - Lil wrote:

| Italian speakers also said that he is so beautiful on the ice and has such amazing artistic presence that the technical aspect just becomes almost unimportant like, ok it needs to be there but who cares. Also during the nhk trophy they said that he is like an alien, someone arriving from another planet that does the competition on his onw | |

Yeah, with you hsuhs, for me, watching Patrick skate is like punishment, he could do ten quads in his program and it would still be like watching paint dry. I think the judges are fixated on his technicality or edges or something but to me his skating lacks maturity in terms of expression, he doesn't draw you in to his performance (unless, perhaps, you are Canadian. Or Chinese ). Daisuke, on the other hand.....MAN, did he dance up a STORM in the FP or what? I have never seen him put so much emotion and passion into the dance in this program as he did today (and that's saying something, because he never shirks on the expression in his programs), it was absolutely incredible. He is definitely improving with every outing, his quads are getting better too. Hopefully, Daisuke will peak just in time for Worlds and he will get the recognition of a gold medal and a second world championship title that he and his programs so richly deserve. Daisuke DAISUKI!!!
