| Thank you very much miyu for the translation of Daisuke's newest interview! Once again Daisuke makes more interesting revelations. - Quote :
- -At Torino Olympics you skated first in SP and last in LP, this time you skate first from the start of the competition. Yeah. But I have realized what I have to do is the same in any number. I have experienced a lot enough to think in such way. ................
What a great mindset! I'm proud of him for thinking this way and for showing his maturity. - Quote :
- I love both of your refreshing performance and very dense performance, Dai-chan!!
Ha ha ha, me too! I wonder what his hair with the new style will look like in the SP and LP for today and tomorrow (the gangster look in the SP and the prince "Romeo" in the LP).

| I was concerned about Dai beating Steph's score, since it was so high, and the highest Dai had gotten with this sp was a little over 80 points ( though I was really happy for Steph), but Dai was amazing. I can't wait to see a vid! | |

| Yay Daisuke!!! Good luck in the free! Thanks to everyone who posted news and photos. I was keeping up with the results at work. Based on his score, I'd say Lambiel is back in shape. Also, I find it interesting that Evan and Johnny had the exact same PCS but Evan edged Johnny in the TES....I know Johnny fell on his triple axel but maybe Evan landed the quad?? It looks like everyone had a decent skate though so it should be an interesting long program. I was shocked by the ladies and dance results (pairs too to a lesser extent). Did Mao (and Kimmie as well) pop a jump? I'm happy for Caroline Zhang though. Hopefully, she will hold it together for the long. I was surprised that Belbin and Agosto won the OD. I mean I love them (they're one of my favorite teams) but Domnina and Shabalin looked super strong at Cup of Russia and Virtue and Moir had such a strong showing at NHK. I'm curious to see if their lead holds for the free. Zhangs in second...a little shocking because they've been so strong. | |

Yay! 8.15 & 8.10, total 39.70 Fantastic score!! I'm really happy to see his performance evaluated so high at a competition. (Of course we know it for a long time!!!!) grolydave, are you heading to Palavela now? Have a lots of fun!! - UMgal wrote:
- Here is a link where you can find pictures of Daisuke's new SP and you can see his new shorter hairstyle.
Hahaha. I wonder his hair style of LP especially. Refreshing one??? Nobunari said in TV before (maybe 2years ago) Dai-chan took about 2 hours to set his hair by himself at competitions. I think he concentrates his mind by doing it. WOW! Stephan (and his 3A) has come back amazingly.... Lysacek looked in good shape. (Sorry for Johnny..) At tonight's LP their mental strength will be big issue...... I recalled NHK Trophy last year. Dai-chan went ahead of Nobunari with slim lead after SP. In LP He skated last and he did fabulous almost PERFECT performance!!!! Do it again Dai-chan!! And Mao....

Thank you for your reminder, Miyu! That's the way to go, Daichan! Thanks for all the info and video, everybody! Don’t you think his deep shit spin has been improved amazingly? It’s so fast! He got 2 Level 4 with the spin in SP. Congrats for Dai-chan’s never ending improvements!!

| A little hello straight from the heart of the Palavela! I don't have time to read what you've all written already about yesterday, but boy was it a FANTASTIC men SP! They were all great, and Dai was totally on. He received a lot of positive GOE (6.5 points in total), which is why he's ahead of those who did the quad. He got level 3 for both step sequences, and level 4-3-4 for the spins. He also landed a gorgeous 4T-3T combo at practice yesterday, so I really hope he'll go for 2 quads today. OK, I have to run, the ice dance practice has resumed. The men will practice in 45mn. Can't wait! | |

Wow, 4T-3T?? Daisuke seems he's keeping a good condition. He said he will decide to do it after the practice according to his interview of yesterday. I hope that he will jump 2 quads today. Have a fun, MissC and glorydave. _________________ GO DAISUKE!!

| OMG!! Finally, I'm very sorry that Daisuke placed 2nd behind Stephane. His total point was very close to Stephane's. And Daisuke seemed that he was not keeping a good condition during 6 warm-up practice, however, I think he definitely wanted to try to jump 2 quads. | After the free skating, Daisuke said "I wanted to win definitely and I blamed to myself now. I didn't know what to do because I couldn't jump 4T at first. I took many little mistakes, however, I'm a second and had a good experience among the top members. I'd like to keep going forward." Daisuke's Interview in Japanese http://www.sanspo.com/sokuho/071215/sokuho073.htmlBut we have a good news!! Japanese Skating Federation made a decision that Daisuke will be qualified for Worlds 2008 in terms of his attendance of Japan Nats. Daisuke will be qualified for Worlds 2008 in Japanese http://www.daily.co.jp/newsflash/2007/12/16/0000772214.shtml _________________ GO DAISUKE!!

| Thanks for the info and the pictures, Leode. Somehow, I expected Daisuke to say something like that. I figured he'd be mad at himself for not winning and yet happy he could do so well against such a tough field.
That's good to read that he has already qualified for worlds although I highly doubt he will be resting on his laurels at nationals.
Daisuke's smile isn't as big as Evan's and Stephane's but I'm glad that he looks at least a little happy with his silver.
