| WWWWOWWWWW!!!!!! Daisuke!!!!!!! What a facinating performance!!!! You were really gorgeous!!! Jumps, steps, spins, everything was great!!! 80.04! Congratulations!! You beat Evan almost 13 points!! (Sorry... I can't calm down ) Thanks a MILLION to hsuhs for introducing NTV program on GSF!!! Btw, Evan fell at 4T(combo) and I think it was under-rotated, but he finished 2nd and marked 67.70. (It's so high..) On the other hand, Alban did clean program, but 4th... Why??? Anyway I'm very exciting now! Go Daisuke for Free Skating! | |

| Hi evryone! I came here after I sipped two cups of coffee to calm down myself... Geeeeeeeeeeeenius!!!! Brilliant!!! Gorgeous!!! Exciting!!! How can I say after I saw such performance of him???? 80.04 points!! at the first competition of the season!!!! How far will you go, Dai-chan???? It seemed He skated more carefully today(yesterday?) than International Counter Match. Of course he needed to do so because it was competition. Now I eager to see the detail score of him. His games used to be very thrilling for me before. I felt nervous everytime he jumped. But now how stable he is!!!! I'm sure he is going to be one of the kings of figure skating like Plushenko. BTW, in Russian broadcast I've heard the name "Tatiana". The commentator was Tatiana Tarasova? I'm very interesting what she said about Dai-chan and Nikolai. (Nikolai was cute when he saw his own fevered expression on the screen, wasn't he??) WOWWWWW!! WE LOVE YOU!! DAI-CHAN!!! | |

| Wow, Daisuke's performance was simply awesome. When I first heard that his program was going to be hip-hop I was a little wary (I'm not very fond of hip-hop), but I love this program. And even if the straightline was level 1, it's quite amazing that he managed to get such a high score regardless. Anyway, I hope he rocks the LP and manages to win tomorrow! | |

I haven't seen Daisuke's Short program yet, but I'm so happy to read what you wrote!!! 80.04 points!!! and 13 points more than Evan!!! In my opinion most astonishing thing is level 3 and 4 in spins!!! He really improved!!! Sorry for quick comment, but I can't wait no more to see Daisuke's masterpiece!!!!!

| WOW!!!!! I've just seen Daisuke's SP... (thanks Leode for the link and sorry again for the mistake... ) Daisuke really seems to have more familiarity with the program. The first part is so faster than the program seen during international counter match... Great jumps, gorgeous spins, no words for his step... What more can I say????? GO DAISUKE!!!I'm waiting for a fantastic free program! | |

| CONGRATULATION, Daisuke!!BTW, I found some interesting experience of a skate fan from Golden Skate. after M's competition,,,, a skate fan wrote: - Quote :
- So we get to the hotel and we pass Daisuke and another Japanese skater, not sure who. And then I want to walk through the hotel down to the lobby and front of the hotel because I know that there will be skaters hanging around. So we go and decide to ask someone where a Wendy’s is that we could go to. We passed Tanith, Evan, and Ryan on our way down. One kid thought I was a skater because I was wearing a jacket that said figure skating on it.. LMAO.
Then we went back and passed Miki, Ryan, Evan, Stephen going back through. We go out and got food then came back through the back way that was closer to our room, and who is standing outside our room eating ice cream? Daisuke. Daisuke Takahashi is eating ice cream outside of my room.
So then I was like.. holy crap. And I left my pillow in the car so I go back out, come in and pass Mai Asada who is next door to my room, and Daisuke is now sitting in the corner eating ice cream. LOL. Then I was a stalker for the next 20 minutes with my ear to the door and my eye in the little eye lookout place and saw Evan, Yasuhari and Kevin pass by. HAHA. Hahaha! Yes, we know, It's ordinary Daisuke!

| CONGRATULATIONS DAISUKE!!!The second triumph at Skate America in 3 years! 8 points more than Lysacek are a big result! At this point of the season you can't do better! Some impressions: - I'm very happy Daisuke landed well 4T... not only... it was a great 4T!!! - He received different level in spins... but I really don't understand level 1 for the last spin... IMO it was so fine! - I think Daisuke is always the best in step, but he has to improve or change something, because he has to reach level 3 or 4! He can do it! Italian commentators on tv exalted Dai's sit spins... They also explain that new rules for sit spins impose that the bottom has to be lower than the knees. Maybe it's for this reason that Daisuke introduced his new position. Anyway... GO DAISUKE!!!I'm waiting for you in Turin!!! | |

| I found a very nice photo of Dai-chan. Please enjoy!! http://sportsnavi.yahoo.co.jp/other/photo/200710/im00066390.htmlHere is the article of this photo: http://sportsnavi.yahoo.co.jp/other/column/200710/at00015154.html"The audience got excited, so I got excited." Takahashi answered with big smile at the press conference after SP. It was just a charming mistake that he felt so good that he forgot some steps. Despite of some small mistakes, he came on to top with the lead more than 10 points. He showed a smile of relief. "I was right about challenging it." *snip* Nikolai Morozov also smiled and said "Perfect skating" as he watched the performance of his favorite disciple. Regarding the less grade of steps which was unexpected, he got bit angry. "The judges doesn't know what is what at all." Nonetheless getting more than 80 points at the beginning of the season made him confident. | |

| I found this article on www.artonice.itI try to tranlsate something... "Men Grand Prix 2007 started in an astonishing way, with 80.04 points given by judges to Takahashi for his SP, only 4.40 points under his Personal Best. Considering skaters aren't in their best form at this point of season, it's a big result! In SP Takahashi executed an appreciated and involving program on hip hop version of Swan Lake. Very high his technical score 43.04 against 30.30 of Evan Lysacek. Solid jumps (3F3T, 3A, 3Lz), but above all involving steps sequences, in particular circolar one level 3, fast and steady execution, only a bit slow his jumped spin. ... ... Daisuke Takahashi proposed tha classic Romeo &Juliet by Tchaikovsky. The beginning is very positive, perfect 4T. Then a fall on 3A. But he was able to get over immediatly with 3Lo, spin (impossibile a lower position) and circular step weel done (level 2). Then combination: 3A2T, 3F3T and 3S. When nobody thought it could happen, there was the second fall on 3Lz. But he immediatly cancelled it with a good Flip and the steps sequence at the end, even if it was inferior - level and impact- than Evan's one. Takahashi's score is 148,93, but distance obtained with Sp gave him the first gold medal of the season." Sorry for bad English, but I try to do my best... It's the first time I see Patrick Chan. I think he did a great competition. What do you think? | |

- (Sorry Dai-chan but...) I'd like to say I'm somwhat relieved to see him challenging to start new season. Yesterday's performance was too good... This is just same as Skate Canada, isn't it? Very good SP and LP. So this is a kind of omen which show Dai-chan will be able to have very very good season again!!!
miyu, I thought same as you. Really similar, but improved version from last season! I'm sure that Daisuke will do better this season! And thanks to miyu and glorydave for translation!!! Hey, that's very nice photo!!!

| Hi glorydave & yerina!! Thanks a lot glorydave for translation! I'm very glad to read how the news of Dai-chan's victory got to Italy and Korea. Especially Korea!! - yerina wrote:
- I've never seen the figure site such like burn up, because of just one skater's just one performance!!!
(I quoted yerina's comment from the diffrent topic.) " BURN UP"!!! WOW!! Yes, we know Dai-chan's skating has such power to attract people, don't we?! I believe Dai-chan will go to Italy and perhaps Korea because of ISU ranking, still I'm not sure though... Actually JSF didn't use to send top skaters to 4CC. But this year considering Joubert or Lambiel will get points at Euro Champ, Dai-chan will have to go 4CC to get equal point as Euro's. Then both of you will be able to see Dai-chan at your own countries!!! - glorydave wrote:

I'm very impressed by his performance too!! Is he only 16 yo?? He has already senior level skating!! He will be a big rival at Vancouver. BTW, if Tomas lend his costume to Patrick, Patrick will become a real sushi master. HAHA!! :P (Sorry Patrick!! You're very good looking boy! )
