Bit Off Topic: Congrats!!! to Japanese Ice Dancers Muramoto/Reed who won bronze medal. Not only it is the first medal for Japan in Ice Dance at 4 Continents, but it is much more: the first not North-American medal in Ice Dance from 1999!!!!  In fact, since first competition (1999) Ice Dance podium has always been the reign of USA and Canada!!! Really good job, kids!! I bet Dai is proud of you!!

Thanks Pattina for 4CC and other updates. The Japanese Ladies were the class of the field. I love them too!

Dai looks so handsome. His face looks fuller not sure if he put on weight because his body looks
the same, maybe it is maturity or his new haircut but I notice a difference. He does not look like a teenager anymore. Such a DaiGorgeous looking young man.  


Shoma is in first place after the SP practically tied with Boyang. Kenji is in third. I have not had a chance to watch but I am looking forward to it later this evening.

Congrats to Kana and Chris. I think this may be their first international medal! They have really improved this season and have
2 great programs. Working with Marina in Michigan sure is working for them.

Excited about the ice show! Anytime we get to see Dai-chan on the ice
it is a gift to us fans. Can't wait!

Yes, his face seems fuller, but he was not so just a week or more ago, before leaving, when his hair were already short (see pics he posted on IG).  We know Dai has this peculiar ability to change and transform. And now he is a quite professional young man. But I'm sure he can turn again into a teenager in the blink of an eye - Magic Dai-chan.

Look here, when he was at USJ with friends about ten days ago. Isn't he a lovely little boy?? (with thin face)

Awww he looks so cute. Dai did a great job at 4CC. He really is an ambassador for Team Japan.
All of the skaters are so happy to see him and talk with him. I think that they feel more confident
knowing that Dai is there not only as a commentator but a real friend to cheer them on.

Agree. Dai knows very well what they are feeling. And so he is able to involve them in interview.

Video of press conference. When Dai is facing photographers, I can see he is nervous. Now he is quite out of his usual comfort zone. But when he starts talking and explaining his new job.... ohhhh his eyes sparkle and he turns visibly involved and enthusiastic.  I love the moments recorded in past months (his hair still blonde) - he is so focused and intense. I hope that sooner or later we can have English translation of the video.

Trying to translate press articles with online translators, I understand Dai bought his own apartment (don't know if in 2016 or 2017) and renovated it with the help of a friend who is an architect. It was a hard job, he said, but satisfying. bathroom is pink - but not clear if he was speaking of the walls or the content or all together.

Yesterday SPOTLIGHT was cancelled and postponed to unknown date. Pity. Let's hope it's just due to Dai's many commitments that prevented him to be there for live transmission and not - for instance - to an illness.
