| Hi Genki! This is how I load pic here. - Download pic on pc - choose an image-sharing website - for instance Imgur https://imgur.com/ and upload pic/s - copy the code starting with htpp:// (each pic has its own) for "Board message and forum" - in DTFF select the small icon above, the window screen with a small green + - past the pic code and click insert - a line will appear in your post like this - when you click Preview or Send the pic is uploaded in post Hope this can help you. Is the drawing the one of Dai half-asleep? from 2010 pic in SoulUp (or SoulUpEx)? if so, it's quite amazing. Dai-chan, please, could you start posting some new pics on instagram before I leave? You're a lazy boy Have you all a nice Dai-day | |

| Thanks, Pattina Here it goes. Dai is supposed to be saying, " No, you should not have pulled your arms from under my head."
Suggesting that somebody was just having her arms under his head cuddling him :afraid: The twitter was lit on fire. What do you think?

| Hi Everyone. Thanks for the latest news. Pattina: Have a nice vacation! I wanted to post this video (thanks to the uploader for piecing it together) and apologies in advance if you've already seen it. It's a reflection of how Daisuke Takahashi can move his body, like no other, with such precision. He's such a Master and in a class of his own. http://youtuberepeat.org/?videoId=WlfK1YJ860o | |

| Thank you for so many updates. Thank you for the red alert drawing and gif animation Genki! Thank you for the Nam kun's tweet and the photo ilica and PATTINA! Also Dancergirl, I love the video. The last summer feels so long ago... And oh, yes, his movement! *** *** *** *** *** I don't know at what occasion Honda sensei said this (must be very recent, info please?) but I wanted to share from a tweet I just read. This might be more appropriate on the FaOI thread.
Honda coach said: In the Beatles medley at Sochi I felt Daisuke's great love so clearly. I was moved. It was amazing that he could do that much. Though we had sent him from Japan with the entire program made into a shape including his quad, I got a phone call from Utako coach from the last camp in Moscow before Sochi telling me that all his jumps went to a total debacle. From that situation and he made it to give that performance. That got me moved.Daisuke san, Honda sensei, arigato...

| Thank you so much for the lovely translation, Twind! As sad as it makes me to hear about his rough condition, and his struggles, it makes me even more impressed with the fight he had in him to show us what he will always have... a gift that can't be taught. I will always remain in awe of him and hope I can watch him skate forever. | |

So Honda says Dai was OK leaving Japan? Interesting. Thanks for sharing Twind!

| Thank you for the GIFs Genki. Or should I say GIFTS? You are doing a great job with them and I am sure we will all be appreciative of your newly acquired skill/hobby so keep them coming.
To answer your question about "what happened in Russia" wasn't Dai sick while he was training there right before Sochi? I thought I had read that somewhere but many of you would know better than I so I could be imagining it.

Takeshi had a lecture in Osaka yesterday. A lot of figure skating fans attended. One of them asked about Dai-chan especially in Sochi and he answered.

| Genki: I found the interview which mentions that Dai was sick while he was training in Moscow, right before Sochi, so perhaps Takeshi Honda was referring to the combination of being ill and having an injury which led to him not being able to land his jumps in practice. What a fierce fighter Dai is to overcome both an illness and an injury to give us 2 beautiful and memorable performances that were the highlights of those Olympic Games. He seems to feel he wasn't mentally strong but I think his performances are proof that he was. I'd be happy if I had just half his strength. From the article: Q: How is the the injury to your right leg?
It was OK when I resumed practice in early December. However, I protected my right leg unconsciously and it made me lose balance. I also became ill when I was at a training camp in Moscow right before the Sochi Games. I couldn’t keep myself mentally strong because of factors including the injury.http://rinkwatchers.tumblr.com/post/79559654385/junko-nagai-yomiuri-shimbun-sportswriter

| Danergirl, thanks a lot for information. Dai really really went through hell before Sochi, huh But now I guess he moved forward taking advantage of that experience. His Faoi performance was really something that even Hanyu fans shed tears for :afraid: Thanks again for info. | |

| Yes Genki. He sure did have it tough and my heart aches for him. In fact, he had DOUBLE his share of misfortune and yet when faced with adversity he showed us what he had and it led to many more admirers who are still growing in numbers. I am still glowing about the fact that another skater’s fans would open their hearts with grace. Perhaps I shouldn’t be surprised because the power of Daisuke never ceases to amaze me. | |

| Twind, thanks for reporting the words of Takeshi san. I can easily imagine how bad he felt when Utako sensei told him about terrible situation Dai was experiencing in Moscow. And Takeshi was commenting for Japanese tv in Sochi, wasn't he? So how much pain had he in his heart when Dai was on ice and still he had to be a calm and professional commentator.
Genki your gifs are precious and a joy to watch. Please, go on!!
Dancergirls, I second your words. Any time Dai is on ice, it comes out to be an amazing and breathtaking experience that touches deeply hearts of audience.

| That's a very good point, Pattina, about how Takeshi Honda must have felt while watching Dai skate and having to comment as a professional. I never really thought of it from his point of view until you mentioned it. It must have been so stressful, difficult and heartbreaking for him but Dai managed to impress.
When I think back to how I felt as I watched him skate in the Olympics I had no idea, at the time, how serious his injury was. I also had no idea he had been ill during training in Moscow. The only indication I had about the injury was when the CBC commentators mentioned it during both of his performances yet I still couldn't believe my eyes that a skater could move so beautifully on ice. Especially a skater that was injured. I can only imagine what was going through Takeshi Honda's mind as he watched him.

| Hi Genki. Thanks for passing along our thoughts and good wishes. I'm hoping the typhoon loses strength as it continues on its path heading for Tokyo. I saw a map which showed it heading through the Sendai area and I thought "how much more can the poor people in that area take". They certainly are strong.
Thanks for the latest photos which show the incredible performer/actor he is. Have you posted your GIF of Dai's leg lift during the BM? I am sure it will be a big hit if you do!
Again, stay safe everyone.
