This is the fifth season since I started working with Takahashi san. I feel that it passed by like a flash.

Recently, Takahashi san cooks!!!!!

As you all know very well, he has publicly declared “I like cleaning up but I’m no good with cooking.”

I feel that I have some responsibility about this, regretting that I have made him into an athlete who can’t cook. I even try to give advices to other athletes with encouraging their own cooking in mind, having learned a lesson from his case. I also had some chance to think over how I should support Takahashi san.

He himself must have been feeling something. He’s become to take the initiative to get involved more in his diet. And then, this occasion (abstention from GPF) allowed us to talk to each other. To me, I have a sense that I started a new dietary support. It is like we both work for higher quality of food environment. I’m sure that this is not just his dietary aspect but also on ice and in other practices to have some new changes.

This way, I no longer have the anxiety I had about 10 days ago. We are going through a tough time but now I’m enjoying this work with Takahashi san more than ever. You may say that this is the true way of working together. It took us so much time and I regret that it’s because of my inexperience. But now that we could come this far, all we have to do is to take a full swing and run through the rest of the way.

And I’m looking forward to the day he treats me with his own cooking. (LOL)
