Programs for 2013-2014 season

As we wait for news about our handsome man new programs (no pressure), we can keep an eye on his competition and friends here.

So far we know:

- Patrick Chan is keeping his Rachmaninoff SP and working with David Wilson on his new FS which will be to his favorite piece of music.

- Jeremy Abbott is going back to his Muse FS, Robin Cousins will be choreographing his SP.

- Adam Rippon's FS: "The afternoon of a Faun" by Debussy, choreographed by Tom Dickson. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCTyBccNC1w

- Nobunari Oda: FS: William Tell Overture, EX: The Last Samurai, both choreographed by Lori Nichol.

- Brian Joubert wants to keep his "Gladiator" FS.

After looking at video, ISU had changed rules and decided that next Season (Oly included) Patrick's FP - and his FP only, mind - will last 15 seconds...9 for the combo and 6 for a fall on 3A. Of course, he will be gold medal.

Just half-jocking: impressive combo, it can not be denied.

GO DAI !! I know that you can beat him.

Really difficult music to interpret.
Frankly It seems to me even Daisuke could not interpret properly at this point.

At least I appreciate his guts to choose this music in Olympic season.

Adam performed his version of Afternoon of a Faun at Gardena Spring Trophy which took place April 1-4.
He won the FS and placed 2nd overall. Kozuka won the competition. I think it is a wonderful
program for him.

I think this is one of the best programs by Lori. I really like it.

Dai could not now, when main requirement of actual men ice skating seems to be only jumping 4ds and comboes. And he has to accomplish.

IMO Dai could in the future, after competiting career, when he could focus on pure artistic side. OK Dai started ballet really late, compared to Curry, and his body is no more so elastic; anyway he could perform a really great program out of this music

Pattina - Well you know what they say FS is all subjective to the eye of the beholder.

Thanks for posting Caro's FS. She is one of my favorite ladies. She
brings something very special to the ice. She is very artistic, has great
musicality and skates from the heart, plus she has great jumps too.

She has had a up and down career but I always supported and loved her skating
and I would be thrilled if she makes the podium at the Olympics.

Thank you fosse for John Curry's Faun. I couldn't have taken my eyes off of him for entire 9 minutes, whereas todays programs, packed with transitions, bore me after two minutes. Maybe someday figure skating will realize what it is losing.

It took me a little bit longer to see that he is wearing something but I think the quality of video somehow adds to the charms of this performance, you can never see a faun clearly

I'm in love, especially with their Scheherazade! I was a little disappointed with they choice to skate to Scheherazade, but this is exquisite!

I subscribe to Icenetwork and got to see both programs live. Love both programs and I agree their
FD is exquisitely wonderful!
