| I wasn't too excited about this event. And I was right, Skate Canada is just a Skate Canada. In the ladies event Canadian debutante Kaetlyn Osmond won thanks to the big PCS score. She beat Akiko Suzuki in choreography, performance, and interpretation. You can compare their performances: Kaetlyn Osmond: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftIP1pqlm64 Akiko Suzuki: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSnbpaqUdcISo I'm not even sure if I want to see men's competition... But I'm waiting for Virtue & Moir's "Carmen" | |

| Sorry but no way should Osmond's PC's be in the same range as Akiko. Akiko did win the FS but would of won overall if the PC were scored correctly. To tell the truth I was not impressed with Osmond FS. I read the protocols before I watched the video and thought to myself this young girl must be very special since her PC were the same as Akiko. She did have some nice moments but........
Two Japanese ladies on the podium at SC is very good and then the Japanese men swept at SA. Team Japan is doing excellent!

| I was very happy that Javier won. He is the first Spanish skater who won Grand Prix race. Historic Victory!
Javier this score would have won the Skate America also. Chan is only the third overall. Yuzuru also received higher points

| Now I am excited about this Skate Canada! Congratulations to Javier, he was so cute and that quad in the second part was amazing! (He has planned three quads in his FS!) Nobu did a great job too, and I actually enjoyed Patrick's new LP Oh! And I LOVE Tessa and Scott's "Carmen"! | |

| Chris, thank you very much for the link :-)
I have watched the performances and I am very happy that Javier did so well :-)))) Congratulations!!
And Nobunari Odasan is sooo different somehow. The way he looks is already different - he also has grown again :-))) Good start!! Congratulations!!
Then I watched Daichan's new FS again and thought: But this is sooo different from all I saw at Skate Canada!!! It is clean, it is smooth, calm, .... just fantastic!! Go for it Daichan, you really have the chance to get the medal straight away :-))))

We may think so, Patrick Chan knows better: "I know going into the Olympics that all I have to do is lay down my jumps. If I lay down my jumps no one can beat me..." ( http://www.calgaryherald.com/sports/Rest+mens+figure+skating+field+catching+Patrick+Chan/7461483/story.html ) Sorry, for bringing this up But I was so happy and exited for COC and seeing that quote almost killed my mood
