| Thanks, Chris for the link. Yeah, I just came back from the link and they told me this sad news too. Poor mao.
I am typing this at the Starbucks of Fairmont hotel, but you know who I just met?' Dai again. He was with utako sensei and watabesan, and to my surprise, he greeted me saying,"Otsukaresama deshita." What? I was so shocked that I said," aa doumo."
Well I met him many times before, but this really made my day today.
In practice, he skated to his long without jumps. In jump practice, I guess he landed 4t, but I am not sure. Quads are not stable yet, but who cares I love him away.
Interesting thing is that he looked so relaxed before the practice and he yawned so much at the link side. Good thing that he is not nervous at all.
It is 5pm here right now, but I will take it easy tonight for tomorrow.

Ganki, so glad he recognized you: what did he say to you?

| Oh, Mao......... I'm very sad to hear the news. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family. Hope she can get back to her mother as quickly as possible. Quebec is so far from Nagoya. I regret writing a negative comment here yesterday (but deleted later), that there happened something in almost every GPF. This time it's not Dai-chan, but Mao... Hello Chiris. Thank you very muh for the links! Thank you for your report, Genki. Wow, lucky you!! But you were near him almost for a whole competition two years ago, rigth? I really envy you! I think Team Japan needs more support from fans and audience under this circumstance. Please cheer them up as much as you can. Thank you very much. | |

| Genki, you're so lucky! And thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us! - miyu wrote:

miyu, I didn't read that comment of yours, but maybe you just have a very strong intuition? You just feel things coming? It's not negative at all, imo. - TwisterSister wrote:

And I found a video of that 4T+3T combo you mention, TwisterSister https://youtu.be/_jZ9uY0edME?t=36sI think Daisuke could start landing quads in SP again, he just needs to trust his body and let it do the job. The phenomenon of 'muscle memory' is well known and scientifically proven.

| Good morning
Thank you all for your links and comments ... it's so great to hear something new or to have read about some thoughts of yours ...
Genki, wow, I'm impressed! I'm very happy for you!! Just enjoy the feelings :-)))
miyu, I think Mao did the right thing to withdraw if her mom is really that ill. She wouldn't be able to concentrate anyway ... I wish her and her family all the best and that all ends well ...
So, GPF is almost there for us ... I cannot wait to see Dai-chan and the other skaters. If Dai is so relaxed that should be a good sign, I think :-) I think he has the right attitude at the moment, he would like to win (is determined, seems concentrated), but alas if it doesn't work out this time there'll still be enough time he can try to do everything that is possible ... But I'm sure we are going to see splendid programmes :-))) Just to watch him move so full of grace and smoothness is fantastic :-)))
Cheers Gudrun.

I cannot find any online stream that shows the ladies' short programme right now. How sad!!! So I don't have many hopes for seeing Daichan tonight :-((((

| Hi there
I watched the videos on NikaQuest and I'm very happy for Carolina - her programme really fascinated me tonight - as well as for Akiko :-) Well done!
A pity that the young Russian lady couldn't show tonight what she is capable of. I think it's the nerves ...
