| Thanks for the comment, Calliope. Now, you are living in west side of the US. Me, neither, I wish I could see Daisuke at Skate America, too. I can't go there because of my work. But you can watch the cable TV live program or icenetwork in US. I envy you! | |

Yes. I leave on Tues. Oct. 23/07 for 07 Skate America.
I found a great B&B (bed & breakfast) about 3-5 minute walk to the Sovereign Centre (rink).
Then on Oct. 29 I leave there & fly to Quebec City for 07 Sk. Canada.
Sk. America: Go! Daisuke Takahashi, Yasuharu Nanri, Takahito Kozuka, Miki Ando, Mai Asada, & Cathy & Chris Reed.
Sk. Canada: Go! Mao Asada, Yukari Nakano, & Nana Takeda.
Special Mention: Nobunari Oda. You are missed on the Grand Prix circuit. (I Will be thinking of you & your Mom). Good Luck with your training in Canada for Japanese Nats. & Worlds.

| Thanks miyu.
Weather here in North America has been great. Unseasonably warm & sunny (Spring like) for Oct. I just hope the good weather continues during the events.
Last year @ 06 Skate Canada (in Victoria B.C.) it rained everyday, all day long for the whole week of the event.
Any of your favorite skaters @ these events I can give extra cheers for on your behalf?

I actually thought that the Bachelorette costume worked very well for the SP. Black swan - and modern like the music. I'd be happy if he used it, but I guess he'll have a new costume. I hope that Dai skates well this weekend - and that his LP has improved a lot...

How about white T-shirt and white pants? I'd like to see Dai-chan in white!! - Quote :

Yes. I believe he is working hard to do so right now. (Wish no injury on him!!!) I'm looking forward to seeing more polished programs of him this coming weekend. I've read an report on Golden Skate forum that Evan is planning 4T + 3Lo (Loop??? ) in his SP..... Meanwhile, Dai-chan has declared he would not do any quads in SP. Then he will have to get more points from his spins than the last game even if his steps would be rated as level 4 or something........ Anyway we will have to wait and see. Go Dai-chan!! I believe in you!!!Miss C, do you intend to go to GPF in Turin?? Daisuke needs the podium finish at SA at least to go there. I hope you will be able to see him in Turin!! (if you go.)

| With SA coming this weekend, I want to wish Daisuke the best of good luck. We all know it's very early in the season, and it's not going to be easy to skate 2 (almost) perfect programs. BUT Daisuke won this same event in the past, he knows exactly what it takes. And with a fantastic team (and his fans!) beside him, he'll be in control, he'll be fine. GO Daisuke! We love you. | |

| Shizuka Arakawa's interview about Grand Prix Series on TV Asahi web site. http://www.tv-asahi.co.jp/sch/figure/figure2007/pc/shizuka/part2.htmlHere is a translation of the part relating Dai-chan. (First Shizuka asked who are top-3-skater in men's competiotions. Her answer was Brian Joubert, Evan Lysacek and Daisuke Takahashi.) Adding to Joubert and Lysacek, I think Takahasi will compete in earnest from the first game. His goal of this year is 2 quads in FP. He will try it in Grand Prix Series. He knows exactly what is necessary for him to go for the top of the world. Last year he tried a quad jump from the start of the season and suceeded. If he feels "Two quads are essential!" this year, he will do so because that's him. For the last few years it has been said "Takahashi has really become better in real games." But I rather felt like that his will has become stronger. "I'll do everything that I have to do to win." "I'll go further by pressurizing myself. " He has become stronger since he had such intense will. And Shizuka also commeted at International Counter Match USA vs Japan "I believe that that amount of practice he(Dai-chan) put in will lead him to a good result." To hear such words from the person who are close to Dai-chan, I've re-realized how strong he is now. Go Dai-chan!!! | |

| Hi, DTFF members! Thanks for the translation in English, miyu.
I'm counting on that day after 3 days and very excited to see Daisuke's performance at "Skate America". I have to check some points of his programs at this competition.
Short program "Swan Lake" 1) Spins' level 2) Evaluation for his steps by judges 3) 3 jumps --What kinds of combination jump will he do? Because he said that he don't jump any quads at all because of his stamina. 4) his new costume
Free program "Romeo and Juliet" 1) 4T, 4T-Combo and combination jumps 3A-2T-2Lo 2) Will he use the same melody as CiSt and SlSt again? 3) Spins 4) What will be his last jump?
Have a enjoy your skating at "Skate America", Daisuke!

Yeah, I totally agree with you!!! Ah, Leode, I also thinking about those like you. About spins, both SP and FS, his position is quite nice, but how much he improved his speed or variations? That might lead to the level. And IMO SP's combination jump will be 3F-3T like last year. Because SP seems very very hard and likely to focus on his steps. I'm very curioius his new costume, too! - Quote :
- Will he use the same melody as CiSt and SlSt again?
I think it's not so good, either.. I hope Nikolai will change one of it. And about the last jump, I think he is not suitable with double jumps( ), so maybe he will put in 3Lo? like 3A-2T-2Lo, 3F-3T, 3Lo, 3S, 3Lz.(second half) Wow... it's so hard constitution! By the way, isn't there any way to see Daisuke in live? NBC just show Ladies FS, and Italy's Rai Sports broadcast Dance OD, Pairs FS, Ladies FS live, but not about Men's!!! Go Daisuke, Believe in yourself!

Yeah, I saw it too. What a gorgeous steps! And CCoSp was more awesome than at ICM! - Quote :
- Cist is a battle and in Slst he want to show Romeo losing his mind after he believe Juliet's death, I think. So some melody more melancholic might suit to Slst.
Wow!!! it's very nice interpretation, miyu!! I think so, too. If Nikolai changed Slst like your opinion, it would be really gorgeous program! And... now the starting order is available!! Warm-Up Group 1 1 Yasuharu NANRI JPN 2 Ryan BRADLEY USA 3 Karel ZELENKA ITA 4 Andrei LUTAI RUS 5 Kristoffer BERNTSSON SWE 6 Takahiko KOZUKA JPN Warm-Up Group 2 7 Kevin REYNOLDS CAN 8 Patrick CHAN CAN 9 Alban PREAUBERT FRA 10 Stephen CARRIERE USA 11 Evan LYSACEK USA 12 Daisuke TAKAHASHI JPN Daisuke, show your gorgeous steps after Evan! Go Daisuke, Believe in yourself!

Wow, great! You're very keen! It would be really dramatic ending!! Anyway, Daisuke's program music announced at ISU biography. But it just said this season's SP version is 'modern arrangement by various composers' Ahhhh... it's about only 11 hours left!!! Go Daisuke, Believe in yourself!
