| Thanks a lot for new thread, ostile. I love Dai's hair, as usual. but I hope that he will make it bigger just like Elvis, He will surely look so sexy. But the costume I really do not know what to say. Can not wait to see it in entirety, but do we have to wait till Nohon TV airs it in September? I am really sad if that is the case | |

| Minnasan, thank you all so very much :-))) It's absolutely thrilling to have some news on his SP and the costume :-))
My first impression wasn't too positive when I saw the costume but I think when hearing the music, seeing the costume and then experiencing Dai-chan skate - i.e. the whole package - everything will be just fine :-))
And I just love Dai-chan's look in that interview - doesn't he look a little boyish? :-)))
Cheers Gudrun.

| Looks like Dai's new costume left everyone speechless I'm a little disappointed and concerned too... Actually his practice clip looked more promising to me... But after those couple of seconds we can only say one thing for sure - there is no spin at the end, so something new As for the costume - hearing the music I could only imagine Dai in a plain T-shirt (OK being realistic I should see some flashy prints ) I think it would be sexy and fresh And Hi everybody, I'm new here | |

Looks like it But I hope Daisuke will have 3 or 4 different outfits for the program, as he usually does. Costumes come and go, I'm more concerned about stuff like the actual choreo, the extend his new programs get 'morozovied', his TR scores, the quads etc etc.

| Hi everyone, I’m just back from FOI. Daisuke was really on. Though he fell on his 4T, his skating was superb and his deep edge, it’s a magic. If his spins get much faster, this SP will become another master piece, I think and hope. And this is only beginning, he will improve more and more toward the end of the season, for sure. I love the way he starts the program and the posture at the end, super cool. Also I love the steps in the second half. It’s different. (And to me, he always looks thinner than on videos.) There were two more sensations. One is at the beginning of the second half. All of sudden Miki started her Black Swan, then Dai appeared in that old Cyber-Swan costume (Dai with short hair and that costume!!!!) started the last-half step sequence of his Swan Lake. You can imagine how audience screamed, then Shizuka’s Swan Lake. After the performance of the three together, Shizuka even apologized to the audience who have just come back from the rest room and just missed it since this was a top secret. And the other one is finale. Dai was really a super star and a real dancer. Someone should make a video of his dancing performances of each show. He knows how to handle his hat and jacket while dancing. I really wish I could have got a seat in south arena. I’m sure fosse and let’s talk will give you more precise and detailed information about Dai, other skaters and the show itself. So please wait for a while. Another thing I love is the interview articles about ‘What do you want from Who?’ question. Pang answered ‘Absolutely I want Daisuke’s “Dream Step Sequence”, Kaitlyn Weaver’s answer is ‘I would love to have Daisuke’s control and edgework. His list of talents is very long, but he works magic with his blades!’ Andrew Poje wrote, ‘If I could have a skill from another skater, I would take from Daisuke. His artistic ability is always something that I have been envious of since I first saw him skate.’ Takeshi wants Dai’s steps. And both Miki and Taka want Dai’s ‘Kosa’ (density?). Taka wrote ‘only a little of it’ (lol) What Dai himself wants from other skaters are Taka’s eagle, Shizuka’s suppleness, Takeshi’s spring (bane), Yamato’s personality (character) on the ice, Shae-Lynn’s skating skill and Miki’s Salchow jump + her physical ability. That’s too many, Dai. Sorry, it’s already too long. I’ll stop for now. Bye P.S. Thank you to you all for all the links and comments. And ilica, welcome to the Forum. Let's enjoy together. | |

what about " intensity" for the translation. I guess they love Dai's carithma and intensity in his program. Here's little more of his Sp https://youtu.be/yuJKawUzuSY

| Hello Genki, thank you for the links. I could feel the same excitement I had last night again. Well, since the literal translation of ‘density’ is 密度, ‘intensity’ is the right translation for 濃さ. There are so many Japanese words which are difficult to translate into English, and the word ‘intensity’ for me still doesn’t cover the whole nuance of ‘Kosa’ (濃さ) but definitely not ‘density’. Sorry for my mistake and thank you for the corretion. There are more than 500 different words of colors in Japanese and we see 7 different colors in a rainbow but not the same in every country. For me that’s a part of excitement of learning foreign langauges. But there still seems to be a lo~~ng way to go Ganbarimasu Anyway Dai’s hip-hop dancing last night had less intensity than before, maybe because of his hair??? He is really a great artist. Thank you to everyone for your kind words. | |

| One more thing, Dai's ballet jump was sooo huge last night. He seems to love that jump recently, don't you think?

- Hello Genki, thank you for the links.
You are very very welcome. I loved your report much more than those links. But you know, these are the only ways that we (who do not have a chance to see the show)can preview his short. As short as the clip is, it is so precious now for that reason. - Quote :

I know. Although I have lived in the US so long, it is sometimes still difficult. But we continue to go on nonetheless. Ganbarimasyone.

| Hello there :-)
Enaufomay, thank you so much for your report :-))) And everyone else for the links - it's great to see that something is "happening" now :-))
Isn't Dai-chan cute when being with the children? :-)
And somehow I feel that Dai-chan has changed yet again. When I see him talking he is somehow different. He has matured, definitely but there is something else. I cannot really tell what it is but it's great to see ...
Cheers Gudrun.

| Thank you ostile17 for the thread! And thank you for the great report Enaufomay!! I can imagine the surprise of the audience and their screams at Dai's Swan very easily. If I were there I would be the worst screamer. XD XD And thanks for all the links, as always. Gudrun, I think I see what you mean. And I'm comfortable and yet excited to see the change I'm seeing. | |

| Swan Trio was charming! (even if Dai fell on 3A) His new SP seems like not fully ready yet. There are some empty spaces between elements, repetitive moves, and not very difficult ones. But you know that Dai likes showing his new SP at FOI no matter how undercooked it is. His costume looks a little claustrophobic imo, especially around neck and shoulders. It makes his torso looks shorter and less flexible, which is not the real case, and not why he is taking his ballet classes. If he changes this costume, I wouldn't mind at all. Today he challenged quad too, 'twas underotated, two-footed and with step-out. His 3Lutz was very good, 3A was with such a tiny shake that makes it almost perfect. Btw, 3A was in the second part of the program. Dai tried a doughnut spin, it was rather unusual. With his artistism and musicality he can deliver anything. Weather this new SP becomes the same level masterpiece like Eye or Garden of Souls, we'll see. Right now it looks more like Mambo-level, with showy tricks and light mind. One fact is for sure- Dai is really enoying himself in his new SP, so I hope things will work out well afterall. I did LOVE Kulik today! What a surprise. He got the second biggest ovation after Dai. Tomorrow I'll be for both shows, then I'll update you. | |
