| Congrats to Patrick! Fall on the triple axel for Jeff as well as a problem on the opening combination. This definitely made a difference since Jeff's components were high than Patrick's.
In Pairs, Langlois and Hay won their first title with Dube and Davison in second and Duhamel and Buntin in third. Congrats to everyone!

| Ladies and dance aren't done yet so it might be a few days before we know which teams go where. | |

| Rochette has the lead at the short program here the beautiful program of the young Chan (17 years old) http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=Xc2jXafZZwsHe was perfect, spins, steps, fluidity, speed, jumps: I think he can be on a podium in 2010 and maybe at the Worlds this year | |

| Thank you for the informations and links! Wow, Patrick was really impressive, and the crowd was awesome supporting him! - miyu wrote:

I think I read somewhere that Patrick already landed quads in practice. I might be wrong though, but now that he's gotten a consistent 3A, I'm sure he'll work on quad(s). What's sure is that he's going to be very dangerous for everybody...

| Look at Jeffrey's FP... ... Patrick cried when he discovered he won gold medal... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyS4VkeqJyMI saw Reynolds' combination... WOW! ...but I agree with MissC. Chan seems to be very confident in jumps... probably he has already started working on quad... I'm sure we will see it next years! | |

| Hi everyone:
I saw & chatted with Nobunari Oda & his Mom who were at 2008 Can. Nationals there as spectators.
I was able to tell Nobu & his Mom that we miss him & will Welcome his return to competition in the new season.
Nobu & his Mom were very happy & pleased to hear it & voiced their thanks & appreciation.
I also got to give him a present of a small stuffed toy 'Rooster' in honor of his Rooster program he has skated in the past. He really liked it alot. I told him I have been collecting 'Roosters' for him ever since he skated his Rooster program.

| Hi all:
I'm glad you all enjoyed my sharing my meeting of Nobu & his Mom.
Yes, they both appeared to be in good spirits & even better after I told him he was missed & we can't wait for his return to skating on the circuit again.
I must confess, I didn't expect Nobu & his Mom to be @ Can. Nats. in Vanc. So you can imagine my excitement when I spotted them & was able to chat with them.
He is soooo special & really cute the fact that he calls me 'Jana'.
I'm really curious to see what programs he will skate next. I sure hope they are special & move me emotionally.

| I am very sad for Nobu, I would be very pleased to see him compete this year. What happened to him was not fair, nor fairplay | |
